That's one sad way to avoid taking ownership and responsibility for your own behavior online. Grow up, dry your tears and come back soon. Now I have to actually do a bit of work instead of enjoying your walls of text.

I see there was a drama. I missed it.

Never got into the original thread, because I quickly saw that there was a level of audioph*ery there that [no longer] holds any attraction for me whatsoever. But whilst I might pour scorn (or would have once) on nonsensical tweaks, now I say to myself, "OK, this is not for you, but, it is a hobby to some people. Walk away and let them get on with it."

But I don't like to see deleted posts. Other forums I know have found the need to restrict posters' ability to delete. People post stuff, good bad and indifferent; others take the trouble to reply. Walking out of a conversation is one thing: walking out and taking what you said with you is quite another, and, to my mind it is absolutely not acceptable forum behaviour.

P.S. Why did you delete all your posts? I was hoping future generations could study your shitposting wisdom and use it to make significant advancements in space exploration, alternative fuels and of course, sanitation engineering.

This is a good reason why @Marvey and @ultrabike (Admins) should set a time limit on how long people can edit their posts. On my XF board, the equivalent of Rando's have 24 hours, while Friends have a week. Folks who maintain FAQ's or useful threads get a special usergroup that has unlimited edit.

Just a suggestion but it's a good way to ensure content isn't lost because someone gets butthurt.

Edited content can be restored by mods. One of us will probably eventually get around to doing that and moving the posts/threads into the How to Win Friends subforum.

 

I left because I realized that a personality like mine is going to get mocked on a regular basis. When my mother got brought into it was the end for me. I have always been the pot stirrer and do poke you with a stick to garner reaction. But it got where people were questioning whether I was telling the truth, and the fact is that I have been lucky in many ways, and I thank my maker everyday for that. I had gone underground since moving to Florida. I thought it was time to come out again and play. I am a big brash meathead that challenges people and life itself. Someone has to be this person. But I am kind, polite and filled with good tidings for all people regardless of standing in society or where they come from. I was having real fun posting, and it felt great. Darn. I'm just going to say that I can't really shut up too much, and I know that is what is expected of me here. So I will give the mic to the rest of you, and God Bless.

I will go back to my beach lifestyle and talk to the birds and anyone who will listen when I go outside. The beach is a place where I find my Chi, and meet people with no expectations. Here where I live in Florida, manners are 1st rate and common acts of kindness abound. I'm not leaving the Corral at SBAF. I am done posting.
