Now that the Orion and Makoyi loaner tours are finished, any thoughts on which gear you'd like to try next?

Personally, I'd like to try the Eikon or Atticus once the US portion of the loaner tour is finished, as well as the iSine 20s.

I also have a Modi Multibit I'd be willing to loan out.

Eikon or Atticus will be really good. I am also interested in the MrSpeakers Aeon, but that will probably take a while.

On a different note, anyone in tdot wants to do a DAC swap with me for a couple of weeks? I am interested in temporarily swapping my Benchmark DAC3 with the Gungnir Multibit or Yggdrasil. TOTL R2R vs. TOTL D/S, very curious as I haven't heard any of the Schiit DACs yet, not long enough to make a critical judgement.

Headfoneshop on Yonge just got the Aeon in. The distributor dropped those off as he was also dropping off my EFlows :D

I see that some here have listed their gear,

I'm working with Gungnir Multibit/Mjo2/Ether Flows on the desktop, mostly listening to High Res Tidal-RME9632-S/PDIF on the desktop

For portable it's an Onkyo DP-X1 to Beyer T5P.2s via black dragon balanced cable.

This might sound Dopey but I've never heard the 650's. I'd enjoy the chance to some time hear a set, especially if they're balanced.

Throwing this offer out to fellow Canadians as Paypal exchange is a giant rip off so any further exchange fees is a kick in the pants.

I'm looking at getting a Lifetime Roon license and if I buy a 3-pack, there is a 10% discount we could share. If anyone is interested, please send me a PM. I have one person interested on Canuck Audio Mart (where I also have feedback to check). The price is $1347USD for three licenses. I have a credit card that doesn't charge exchange fees so that saves another 2-3%. I just don't know exactly what the conversion would be but roughly around $615CAD/each.

On CAM there is a ZMF Atticus for a reasonable price. How many would be game to pool a loaner fund to get it? The guy has said he'd do $1200 cad shipped which seems decent.

Depending on how many we get it could be our cheapest option for trial vs sending a return back over the border.

I would be in, at least tentatively. As long as the opt-in cost was reasonable and the loaner schedule worked with my work schedule (I'm out of country a lot) I'd chip in to join the tour.

And then how will it be divvied up at the end?

We cut the Atticus into pieces and everyone takes a piece home.

I would be game if the initial costs was split enough ways, then everyone was paid back upon sale of the can at the end of the loaner tour.

I guess I'd assume that someone would want it at the end and the buyer could repay everyone. But I suppose that it's not possible to know that for sure. I'm sure we can organize something that ultimately makes sense.

In any case, I'd be ok fronting up to $200 cad so at the very least we'd need 6 people.

It could be sold at the end of the tour, either to someone on the tour or to the general public, and the funds divvied up between the group. Personally, I would be buying one directly from ZMF if I decided I want one due to the lifetime warranty being non-transferrable.

    Happy Canada Day everybody!

Try to find some background music that's suitably patriotic but won't be too harsh on the hangover...

Given that you're from YYC, then how about the Stampeders? I remember them from my copy of K-Tel's "Canadian Mint".

Slight update, relocated back to Calgary. Lease expired at the end of this month in Vancouver, and I don't have a job lined up, so I just hauled my stuff back home instead.

Beautiful city with really cool people (and a great night life!) but unfortunately it's too expensive to live there on the promise of finding a job soon.

Calgary is still great albeit a bit smokey these days! I'm down from Edmonton often, should grab a beer one of these days!
