If you haven't binged season one of Westworld yet. It's totally worth it. Sorry to derail. But you don't have to watch it, just listen to it with Ampfisonics.

Me and my wife watched it a few months ago. As a western and sci fi fan I thought it was fantastic. The whole "AI becomes self aware" thing has been done a hundred times, but I thought Westworld had a unique take on it. I've also never really seen this type of premise delve so deeply into the consciousness, or rather developing consciousness before. Really enjoyed that aspect of the show.

Yes. I saw the original movie in the theater. This takes it to another level. Still trying to get my wife to watch it. She loves Sir Anthony. Probably should start a separate thread at some point.

The Wall will fall. The Others will start invading and butchering the people South of the Wall. The red priests in Westeros and their undead cohorts and survivors of the civil society will do something to stop the spread, but they will only be able to do so much. After some gory butchery scenes the news will reach the gorgeous blond ears of Daenerys and she will rush on a shiny white dragon to stop the evil spreading and restore the balance in the world; her dragons seem to have enough fire power for some pretty ZOMG pyres of apocalyptic zombies.
Someone will find the magic to put the Wall back, and thus segregate the White Walkers back into their rightful place in the world -- North of the Wall, where they will lay low for a couple more hundreds of thousands of years and start plotting again how to invade the living world and butcher 'em all. (With their civilization's advances in cryogenic tech and immortality, this sounds like a good business plan.) But in the meantime Daenerys will reclaim her rightful throne and usher in a new epoch of democracy and reforms across Westeros, and people around the world -- though frankly it's not clear to me that the GoT world is round -- will be eternally grateful for their gorgeous, blonde Saviour that will have done everything for them except maybe get crucified. She will then make sure that all the academics in Oldtown get busy writing so that when things get awry again and the Others come back to cash in on their investment, people remember the Gorgeous One and what she did to save the world.

    Or something to this effect...

So, we've got three Targaryens left: Daenerys, John Snow, and Tyrion (likely Daenerys's half brother. In the book he's got Heterochromia with one purple eye, a characteristic of Targaryen lineage). I'm going to ignore the fact that there's one more Targaryen left out there in the books as he hasn't appeared in the HBO series. We also have three dragons out there. Three Targayrens on three dragons? Maybe?

As for Jaimie or Tyrion, I'm also not sure how it will play out, but I think there's a strong possibility that one will end up killing Cersei. They didn't bother with it in the show, but in the book, some hag made a prophecy to Cersei that her "little brother" would kill her. Technically both Jaimie and Tyrion are her little brothers, but Tyrion is only her half brother even though she assumes that he's the one the prophecy is referencing. Basically if I had to guess right now, I'd say that Tyrion stays with Daenerys and meets up with John Snow and slays some white walkers on the backs of dragons, and Jaimie ends up killing Cersei.

"You'll never walk again, but you will fly." Bran more than likely will be controlling one of the dragons as a warg. Remember the vision he had of flying over kings landing.

    Lots of interesting stuff:
    1. Tyrion is not only maneuver-ably half size, but might also be half Targaryen, and might fly one of the dragons (the little one maybe).
    2. There may be another Targaryen we HBO porn watchers dunno about.
    3. Cersei is dead meat. But who will kill her? Tyron, Jaime, Arya, horny Ewoks, Yaya Binks?
    4. The White Walkers have been bored to dead for thousands of years, and want to party all over Westeros. But who will stop them? Daenerys professional ass savior and carrier Drogon? Knows-Nothing extraordinaire Jon Snow? Or some rando that came out of nowhere?
    5. Is Lord Baelish really just Eddard Stark f'ing with us? And therefore will die again? Who will kill this demon? How?
    6. Are we going to have a lame ending where everyone is happy ever after or everyone dies? What is the plan for a non-lame ending here?
    7. Is Bran going to do something useful other than daydreaming in front of a hard, thick, and stiff weirwood? Or is he actually going to command hordes of wild ravens and rain shit all over the White Walkers, who likely won't give two fucks?
    Anywho, we shall see.

    Some thoughts...

Never picked on Tyrion being a potential half-Targaryen. Curious why people think so... (Though it would make sense that this is what you get when you mix Lannister and Targaryen blood. And we all know what you get when you mix Lannister and Lannister blood.)

I'd put my money on Arya, because you need someone really slick to get past the Mountain these days. But Jaime or Tyrion would be far more ironic.

Given past form, if you thought the butchery of the wars in Westeros was harsh (the books do a better job at painting a thoroughly disastrous war with an effective destruction of civil society in many places of the realm and only very few patches remaining unscathed), think again. I'm readying myself for seas and oceans of undead armies: Remember, when an undead kills a living, the undead army grows by one.
The only question is how far South they'll go in Westeros before people take rumours seriously and start doing something about it. Daenerys will inherit a realm with no Houses left (or very few of the Main ones, anyways), and maybe 50-odd people or so.

Other than the usual suspects for helping stop the White Walkers, do not forget Bran. He's sortof like a god-like figure, and gets to have a thorough briefing on the realpolitik of the world North of the Wall. In the books he is told why the White Walkers have come in existence in the first place (hint: they're not all that bad, or at least they were needed because humans were such aggressive little monkeys hell-bent on colonizing everything and destroying every other cousin species in their path*). While his flying a dragon makes sense, I think he will have some sort of a mediation role between the undead and whoever is star of the living coalition (prolly Daenerys). Of course, it also depends how far HBO wants to push the intricacies in the books, and it wouldn't be the first subtlety to be swept under the rug.
    * Martin ain't that original after all...

Oh, yeah, forgot about that one. Nice chap. Wanted to lay with his cousin -- Daenerys -- and ride her dragons, but could never get closer than a city or two from her. Can't recall if the last book resolved his predicament one way or the other...

I would watch the shit out of this if they could make it with the same care that Game of Thrones got. Nearly every sci-fi TV show feels so claustrophobic due to budget/set constraints.

Marvey was right! It is a space opera. Sounds a lot like the Reapers plot line from Mass Effect.

Let me introduce you to the greatest GoT nerd resource in existance. Lots of great theory videos and whenever he makes a video on any subject I feel like I must have been sleeping throughout the entire bookseries cause he just picked up on loads of stuff I missed. https://www.youtube.com/user/JaiWbio/videos

Also I HIGHYL doubt Jon is illegitimate, just doesn't match Rhegars personality at all.
Davos for King and hope they actually doesn't screw Jaime's character over like in last season by making him crawl back to Cersei again.

    @KurtSvensson

It's highly speculative, but interesting theory, and fits a number of conjectural elements. I wouldn't take it fully for granted, though. It is interesting however that Tyrion is currently Daenerys' close and trusted counsellors...

Oh it's as far from granted as you can come, but it is a theory.

I'll just share the most recent video from the channel as it may be one of my favourites thus far. The attention to detail is second to none. Oh man I'm hyped for this.

Also long live Davos, most likable character in the series IMO.

So hard for me not to drop spoilers on everyone regarding lineage and season 7 plots :p

Really enjoyed last night's episode. It felt a lot more like the earlier seasons where they favored character development and atmosphere over action.

And yeah...Sansa is still a spoiled brat.

Well, Spoilers are kool in this thread. So, spoiler warning...

To me it felt more like an introduction episode. Highlights:

Man, Freys are fried. Just like that. Did not like those dudes. Arya does not f**k around.

Concerned with the struggles between Sansa and Jon Snow. We'll see how this develops. Jon does need to listen to Sansa. But Sansa should not openly go against Jon like that. Sansa is missing the picture with the Moon Walker King indeed. Ballton, Groinjoy and Saucy Moanister are noise compared to what's coming. Even neglecting logistics on a North incursion, Saucy is not in a good spot right now anyways. Cannot be too cautious, but a really cold turd is coming. This is not business as usual time.
