    Android or iPhone?

If Android, try the Edge browser. I know of no permanent fix for chrome.

Thanks. I'm pretty settled on the N3 now. I love the Sony UI and aesthetics, but yes...the power differences are pretty substantial.

What's the next decent step up from the LCD-2C, for simply more clarity and a bit more refinement while not making me homeless because of its price?

I thought about getting the Clear but it seems it's close to the HD800 (SD, which I own) in many aspects (clarity, detail retrieval, bass linearity, distortion) and not too close to the LCD-2 in others (very low distorted linear bass, punchy, fire and forget kinda style headphone for pop/rock where my HD800 "fails") where I want it to be.

The LCD-2C is a really great can but I miss a bit of the TH-900/HD800 like clarity. Will give it more time to adapt myself to the sound but I'm curious where I could look towards to.

I'm looking to re-terminate a cable from 6.3 to male 4 pin XLR. Anyone know of someone that won't charge too much and take 2 months?

Are you looking to connect something single-ended to a balanced output? That would tie the ground lines of the balanced channels together and you need to be careful about whether it is safe for your balanced device.

I think that you are looking for balanced trs to xlr pinout. Why not make the cable yourself?

Headphones with a 6.3mm connector still have 4 wires. The negative leads both get soldered to ground in the single-ended connector.

I want to use it as an extension when not listening from my desk. The 2 feet will help with reaching my chair. I would connect the 4 pin XLR male to the Aficionado. The female end obvously to my headphones. Is it even possible? I definitely don't have the skill to do it myself.

Looking at your pic, you have a cable with 4-pin XLR female and 6.3mm male connector. I guess you use this cable for plugging in your balanced headphones to single ended outputs. Whether it's possible to replace the male end with a 4 pin XLR depends on how the connectors are wired and how many wires in the cable itself. You can open up the connectors and look (or post pics to this thread).

An easy thing to do is simply purchase a 4-pin XLR extension cable, like one of these:

I do this as well and it works. The reason why is simple, and it would be an easy fix for the web admin.

Anyway, the real reason is two fold....there is no 301 redirects to the https version of the site from the non-https versions. This takes time to get all of them and convert them. I know there are automated tools that can crawl the site and generate a 301 redirect list to implement.

Otherwise, and even more simple fix is to change the links on the main menu. For instance, here is the menu and where the beginning of the link:
There maybe other links on the site that are not working as well that maybe https or non-https, but that is just the main menu.

Your browser knows if you logged into the non-https or the https version. The cookie has the https version. So if you click the Main banner or the Home, it will take you to the non-https version, where ALL the menu links are non-https and thus you will not be logged in. I have never had an issue on my Android phone using Chrome, but I do have this issue using Chrome on a Windows computer. I think someone, maybe @Elnrik, tested this site on a few Android browsers for this issue.

Certain browsers can compensate for this, just as they can decipher if you do not put the www as in front of the URL.

I brought this up to the mods before and even offered to help, but I was pushed aside. I know there are even broken links in the footer as well.

But yes, the workaround is to login to the https://www. version and NEVER click the top banner or Home button.

That cable might work out. Decent price and will probably cost less than trying to modify my current one. It'll only be used maybe once a week. Thanks!

    Hello Friends!
I live in Brazil and stuff here is really expesnive. My first set is a Hd650 with 02+odac.
I have it for 2 years and i feel that some songs (ex: eletronic music) dont have enough power, i have to turn on the Gain button and it feels a little distorted then...
I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading to a JOTUNHEIN+MODI 2 multibit, will it really be different? i'm scared of travelling to the usa, buying this expensive stuff and not really feeling a difference... Does anyone have experience with hd650 with o2 and then jotunheim?

Have you considered the Audio Zenith PMx2? I just recently got a pair. The bass is extremely linear, and the lack of distortion in general is really remarkable. It might lack that final degree of dynamic punch that the Focal Clear has, but the PMx2 is extremely neutral in its tonal response and probably more accurately reproduces the dynamics of the recording. I listen primarily to pop/rock, and the PMx2 has not disappointed yet.

The PMx2 is less common and might be harder to find than some other headphones, but you can check out their website or just talk to the designer, Alex Zaets, on this forum. He’s registered under @Audio Zenith

I’ve had this exact procedure done twice by Moon Audio. No complaints. Quick service and a reasonable price. A year ago, I was charged $35 plus shipping.

My office setup is currently Mojo > ZMF Classics (which I love btw). Would SDAC+Magni 3 be an upgrade? I already have the Magni and the SDAC is cheap. I also have a Wyrd to throw on the stack.

On the one hand, I really do like the Mojo for a lot of reasons and I've heard that it has some really nice synergy with the Fostex T50RP; on the other hand, I come and go from my desk a lot for unspecified amounts of time, and Mojo gets left on for hours unattended and I worry about the thing's battery over time.

Does anyone know if the cavalli liquid glass can be converted to 230V easily? Might want to try and get one but the chances of getting a 230V should be slim to none.

    What to replace Jotunheim with?

Jotunheim acts as a preamp and headphone amp in my current setup (Genelec 8030s + Hifiman Sundara + AKG K702). Currently I am experimenting with Modi MB. This combination sounds good, but if I were to replace the Modi MB with a Yggdrasil A2, the end result might be too bright...

So I am looking for something that is perhaps a tad less treble happy than the Jotunheim. I've been eyeing the IFI PRO iCAN, but I am unsure if I am going into the right direction...

EDIT: Is Schiit Ragnarok competitive (price vs. performance), if I don't really need the power amplifier stage?
