I will need to retry Tidal after a few years with Qobuz. Currently monthly with Qobuz, but I found more stuff I like on Tidal. Also on monthly Tidal is a little cheaper now than Qobuz....we will see.....

Tom Petty’s hi-res catalog is impeccably mastered, as are the Paul McCartney/Wings hi-res releases.

Hopefully people will end up okay. Natural disasters, while unavoidable, are never fun to deal with nor simple to clean up.

There are reports of several dozen people trapped underground in a coal mine. I can't imagine the horror of being underground in an earhquake.

But I don't think I'm willing to spend that much for what I agree looks like a rebranded Psvane tube... when I can get various NOS 6SN7's in stock from reputable sellers (eg., Brent Jesse) for <$100.

I found some actually increase their prices before the sale days and then lower them. My take is, if you think it’s a good deal whenever it is, just get it. Don’t wait 200+ days to “save” a little money for that SMSL amp. Also the good stuff don’t go on sale.

But the shipping fee could be a pain, I just don't know how those forwarders can save that much on shipping!

The first year my wife and I were dating I pretended I didn’t know it was Valentine’s Day. She hinted, but she didn’t want to embarrass me, so she said, “Oh, it’s, uh, Chinese New Year.” So I wished her a happy Chinese New Year. The thing is: it *was* Chinese New Year! So, for several years afterward, we celebrated Chinese New Year in style. The neighbors were really confused.

        Doesn't everybody?

Doesn't =everybody= have a disc (or more) full of stuff they downloaded, digitised from their own vinyl or tapes, ripped from CD, bought in digital format, didn't-buy in digital format, got given, etc etc?

There’s a thread on JPlay’s forum. The claim is something with bit “stabilization” in memory. It’s just juju. There’s source code somewhere. The dev seems a bit off, struggles with mental health issues. It’s free at least, but my advice is avoid.

Memories of plane trips 20 years and more back: carrying a little man-purse size thing that could accommodate a portable player and about a dozen disks. Had to be small enough to convince airline staff that it shouldn't count as an extra carry-on. Still got the player, not the case.
