        Thanks for the comments. Have read some of the posts mentioned in the original thread, and will go through the rest as time permits.

        As for "how to choose gear", Yeah, read that. Am not really new to high-end audio and trust my ears a fair bit. The trick will be to try to shortlist a few units that i think fit my preferred sound palette.
