Nice. I might be in the area that weekend. Any idea if JDS will care about competing (superior?) amps and dacs showing up? I'm guessing not, but have no honest idea.

It looks like it, people in the HF thread have listed quite the array of amp/DACs already. It's actually really cool JDS hosts an open user meet like this.

I'll be in STL that day, maybe not early enough, and probably can't get away from the family I'm visiting, but who knows maybe I can pull it off (gearless). Should be driveable in future years for me so that's something to look forward to.

Scratch that! We are going to visit them for an extra day so I can escape to this meet.

Will bring Zana Deux, Gungnir Multibit and some combination of HD800/650 AD2000

Probably will leave Eikon at home since Zach will be there

This is the 3rd year JDS has hosted. They usually have a table of their wares to audition, but everyone is encouraged to bring whatever they want, even some of the JDS employees bring their other (non-JDS) gear iirc.

Last year there was probably about 20-25 people who came out, maybe a little more or less.

I'll be bringing my Mutec, Gungnir Multibit and Sonett with my HD800S and Eikons.

Last year I just brought a Modi/Vali2 stack, I've never had to bring large items like this to a meet before. Is it just easier to pack it all in the manufacturer boxes and bring them? Gungnir Multibit is gonna be cold.

I am going to attempt to make it. Kinda far for me. But I think it is one of my closest meets.

I also have a large exotic tube amp (Zana Deux) and I put that in the retail box because it seems the safest there. I actually just wrap my Gungnir Multibit in a couple bath towels and put it at the bottom of a large plastic tub, and put my boxed headphones and acceessories on top. I find the large size of the Schiit box overkill for non-shipping, but to each his own.

With both your Eikon and Zach there, I'll leave mine at home I think. Too much already. That means laptop > straight USB (unfortunately) > Gungnir Multibit > Zana Deux > HD800/650 and AD2000

Well, my setup has evolved into it's final form these last couple weeks.

    Final list of gear:
    Mutec 1.2
    Gungnir Multibit
    Sonett 2
    Utopia
    800S

Decided to leave my Eikon home as well and bring a loaner pair of Utopias instead.

Looking forward to meeting you guys on Saturday.

Unfortunately we had something come up and have to tweak our plans visiting family. I won't end up in St Louis until Saturday evening, so I'll have to sit this one out it seems.

    Have fun!

Didn't listen too a whole lot this year, but got to talk to some awesome folks and meet @zach915m.

As I said, didn't listen to a whole lot. Don't really know if it's because I was busy talking with people, or I'm just very settled into my setup and didn't really have much I wanted to try.

I did finally get to hear the Atticus. I think I still prefer my Eikon but the purpleheart Atticus was great out of my Gungnir Multibit/Sonett2 setup. Warm and involving sound. Basically sounded like the maximum evolved form of my Ori. Similar characteristics just much more cohesive FR and more resolving. May up selling my Ori and buying an Atticus for myself one day.

The Decaware amps Zach brought, run from his Pavane sounded great with the cherry Eikons. I think I was using the CSP3. Didn't get a chance with the Taboo.

Great meet, a little larger than last year, so still growing.
