Had some time on my hands, so I decided to go back and 100% Fallout 4. After having leveled up to 180, I now recognize the mistake. Can't wait for Mass Effect to get DLC'ed and patched up enough to play.

Damn!! Lots of hours there! I still haven't really played much Fallout! Need to do it but I'll probably start on Persona 5...

Wish I was five years younger so that shows like Pokemon and DBZ fucked me up enough to like anime so I could more thoroughly enjoy JRPGs. Right now Final Fantasy is about as hardcore as I get :/

P5 is lightweight. I hate visual novels and crap like that.

Do we need to send you a switch? You can wander Hyrule forever man

I'm getting my nephew one so I can sneak some playtime while he has to suffer Catholic school.

I had planned to start Horizon Zero Dawn ages ago, but I'm currently on my third Bloodborne playthrough and I just can't quit.

    Someone. Save me!

Lol. I actually like visual novels... well, some of them. But the Japanese are just too weird sometimes! I have some musuo games with gals fighting and their boobs just flopping around the screen (Seran Kagura) that make me feel weird and I find mildly inappropriate. But the gameplay is actually nice. Probably why my Switch won't replace my Vita yet. But I'm starting to see more games on the eShop and actually bought one called Kamiko. Pretty nice for 5 bucks. I really believe that the Switch is the Vita everyone wanted!! Is going to get interesting! (The gaming landscape)

PUBG is the most fun multi-player game I've played in years. It is rough around the edges, but just a brilliant piece of game design. Tactical, strategic, tense...

I finally won my first game as a solo. Damn a win feels good!

I bought Final Fantasy 15 when it was released on November 29th 2016 and still haven't opened it. Is it a good game? (please no spoilers)

    Yes! Good but different.

Early game is very open world. Late game funnels you down the story hole.

Play the "Platinum Demo" first to get a feel for the (combat) gameplay and name your Carbuncle.

I really liked FF15. Some of the late game stuff was not well executed, but well worth a play through.

I am about to finish Dragon Age: Inquisition, any one have any suggestions for a games with great sound and interesting story lines?

Perhaps I should continue my old save from Pillars of Eternity.

This is a long/introductory type post, so I apologize in advance. :)

So my wife bought me a PS4 for my birthday a month ago and Battlefield 1 has been GREAT fun. I have completed all the campaigns except for "Mud & Blood" and have been blown away for the most part. Now there are some caveats, MY last console was Colecovision! (though our kids have had a Wii and Wii U) and I haven't really played much in the way of more adult games since the late 90's when I was into PC gaming for a while during University. My recent gaming experience has been limited to Wii Sports and MarioKart with the kids, which is lots of fun in its own right.

Playing the PS4 in our home theatre (108" screen) is just great... the 16 year old in this 42 year old's body is living the dream lol. But damn, games are a lot more complicated than they were 20 years ago and it took me a few hours to get comfortable with the dozen or so different buttons/commands. Funny story, I was on my ipad looking for some tips and my wife commented that I was cheating... the analogy I gave her was that today's games are to NES Supermario as NES Supermario was to Pong with respect to the level of complexity... my 10 year old son backed me up on the argument.

Anyhow, I will do some reading here and hope to learn / catch up on a few things to make the most of my limited gaming time. I probably spend a couple hours per week at most.

Just finished Horizon Zero Dawn, what a great game! Playing Nioh, then Mass Effect: Andromeda and then Horizon I feel totally spoiled. Time to get all the Witcher 3 DLC and start again. This time i'll be playing Witcher 3 in my home theater on a 4K Sony projector - so i've forked out for a video card upgrade accordingly.

    4K Projector... NICE!
I must admit that I'm hoping the bulb in my Epson 8350 can last long enough for 4K projectors to get to a price point that I'd be comfortable with. I don't see the point of 4K with a typical family room set up (ie 60" TV with a 12 ft or so viewing distance) but I can see how 4K would be a game changer on a large projection screen.

I'm upgrading my room's sound with Atmos for now to satisfy my upgradeitis...

I'm certainly atypical since my hobby/side job is reviewing home theater gear, as a result I spend a lot more on that hobby than this one, and have high standards, but it's worth it for me.

This is the first time in my life i've spent big money on a projector (the Sony I have retails for $15K), but the picture is just astounding
