Probably my favorite poolside beer. Tastes like a Belgian gold style Gose.

Stopped by the drug store to check the latest fire sale deals. When I came in the door and spotted the palette, all I could see was that Budweiser 55 stuff. Not a good sign. When I got closer there were 3 cases of Green Flash West Coast double IPA for $15 each. I took them all.

I've been on a bit of a streak so I had to brag a little. Usually the deals don't happen on good stuff like I've found the last couple of weeks. I bought large so I'm probably set for a while.

So guys, if you were on a desert island and you were given the choice of having only one style for consumption. What style would you choose? Also, do you people prefer Imperial or barrel aged for certain styles?

I've been primarily stouts but now I've gone to the sour side and I feel like I love it so much more, though a little bit harder to find.

I think I'd have to go with stout, but more specifically, Guinness. Most of the microbrew stouts are pretty heavy which is fine, but Guinness is just so damn drinkable. I love the stuff.

If it's a desert island I'd want something light a drinkable like a Pilsner.

IPA's are a love hate thing. Some love, some hate. Some are too bitter for me too, but love some IPAs because of that bitter bite.

I at least used to keep some condiments in my bachelor fridge.

That is a perfect looking bachelor fridge. Kokanee = Sasquatch piss, hahahahha. Actually, it's not that bad as far as macro brews go. I used to drink it in high school and still buy it once in a while. Is it popular in the states? I'm always surprised when it pops up randomly in other countries.

I'm jealous of the variety and availability of microbrews (all beers really) in the states. There's lots of good ones in Canada, but it's a lot of work to chase some of them down.

Whatever Beer you enjoy, the most important thing is enjoy it! There isn't an objective right, but there is I enjoy it and if anyone else doesn't growl ... pick your own beer!

Quebec has really nice beers, I LOVE anything that Dieu du Ciel! puts out and Unibroque beers are pretty solid. I have friends that are from Canada who regularly go to Vermont for their beers. I think that sounds pretty nice.

The Unibroue beers are pretty decent. We used to only get them around Christmas time in BC, but now they are almost always available. I'll have to look for Dieu du Ciel, I've never tried any of their beer before.

Crossing the border is a pretty long journey for me, but I do stock up whenever I get the opportunity.

I started going to beer festivals whenever I get the chance. It's a fun way to try a tonne of different beer. I've heard the Portland one is amazing and need to make the trip to check it out at least once.

Considering attending this one in the fall: http://punkindrublicfest.com/tacoma/ . Two of my favourite things in one festival.
