Ran into some issues with measuring Shure IEMs. Really hate those thin nozzles, can never proper seat them in my coupler.

    Subjective impressions:
    • UERM has somewhat replaced my ER4PT has the go-to reference. Though tonality and detail is superior, I still think the ER4 has better treble control. The UERM can get a little brittle and sharp at times.
    • Flamenco is insanely clean and easily one of the most detailed IEMs I've ever had the pleasure to listen to. Tonal weight still a little on the thin side, though I guess that's the trade-off for increased detail retrieval.
    • Oriveti's new lineup is good, very good. Basic has excellent bass with decent tonal balance, Primacy makes a great neutral hybrid. At their asking price points, they're easily top in my recommendations list.
    • A2H don't sound too good to me. I mean, there are better universals out there but it's still crazy value for a 220USD dual driver hybrid custom.
    • Nebula One kinda sounds bad next to the splendid heights of the Basic. Uncontrolled bass, smoothed over details and the semi-open design aren't winning me any favours.
Not much I can say about the 846 and IE800 that hasn't been said before. I like bass so... I like 'em, I guess.

@La Cenric Thank you for posting the graphs. I am interested in Oriveti Basic. I see that pick on 5K and big drop down to 10K. Does it mean that it lacks sparkle in treble region?

A little, yes. Basic is relatively darker sounding compared to its bigger Primacy brother.

W900: warmer, better bass articulation, denser and (IMO) more controlled treble, wider staging and positional ability

Flamenco: slightly colder, clearer, more perceived details, thinner and sharper notes, upfront vocals

Well now that Head-Fi's formatting is in BBCode, updating this part of the site is soooo much easier on my end.

First post has been updated for those who refuse to touch HF for whatever reason. Current tally count at 306 IEMs.

New measurements now up. Been experimenting around and have improved the measurement process by a lot using periodic (PN) white noise instead. Measurements would be averaged faster and cleaner than before.

    AAW A3H Pro V2
    Audeze iSine 10 (remeasure)
    Audeze iSine 20 (remeasure)
    Cardas A8 Ear Speaker
    Cardas EM5813 Ear Speaker
    Etymotic HF5
    Ultimate Ears UE18+ Pro Universal

    Notes and impressions:
    • The updated AAW A3H version 2 is good. Very good. Especially in the bracket of <$400 CIEMs, it doesn't really do anything wrong. Another worthy "entry-level" hybrid.
    • The Audeze duo still sounds very weird to me. Tonality and timbre are way off especially when compared to my benchmarks (Andromeda, UERM, UE18+ etc.) . Could be attributed to the hefty 1.5K-ish spike of doom.
    • The Cardas EM5813 was horrible. The A8 was pretty okay for the most part, except for the unnatural-sounding treble that was muffled and slow for whatever reason. Would not recommend either.
    • Etymotic HF5 is a darker version of the ER4 that retains the signature sterility and reference-orientated of the Etymotic house sound. One of the best neutral budget IEMs around.
    • JH Lola... The Lola has managed to have its twin DDs control the midrange and yet retain none of the traits that made the dynamics desirable in the first place. Overall tonality is thin and cold with slightly distant mids and little smoothness. The use of BA woofers for bass did not help the note weight at all and the Lola ends up being a soulless, strange-sounding "monitor". Would not recommend.

So D.O.M.E™ technology doesn't quite produce the 'natural, silky, airy gorgeous midrange' that Jerry was aiming for, from the sound of things...

Got a friend in Indonesia who sent some graphs my way. Based off preliminary measurements, it can be assumed that it's more-or-less in line with the measurements that my IMM6 produces.

Avara is a local Indonesian CIEM maker focusing on affordable customs for the masses.

    Avara AV1
    Avara AV2
    Avara AV3

    Notes and impressions (not mine)
    • The AV1 has a distinct lack of treble on first impression. It has a good midbass presentation that is definitely faster than the SE215. Vocals carry decent weight as well but it lacks extension and makes female vocals sound dull and muted. Treble presentation is equally dulled due to the rolloff post 5k. Not recommended even at its $165 price point, except only for the most desperate.
    • More treble is immediately apparent on the AV2 compared to the AV1 whilst keeping the bass quantity. Mids aren't necessarily recessed but there's a jarring difference of amount of lower mids and upper mids, making the female vocals sound thin. The bass is pretty linear and enjoyable but the vocal timbre was off as mentioned earlier. Treble has enough energy but doesn't feel natural. Still not so worth it at $235 honestly.
    • The AV3's bass has decent enough kick and low-end extension. The mids has nice enough body to it that vocals sound natural, both male and female. Good top-end extension that brings more airiness to the sound. Treble is quite polite while keeping the quantity enough to satisfy, and presents an accurate timbre as well. A solid recommendation at $290.

La Cenric, is there any chance of measuring the KZ ZS5? I know it's a budget IEM but it sounds pretty good pairing them with the Comply T400 tips. The stock silicone tips don't sound good to me. I'm a little curious after seeing the KZ ZST in your IEM measurement list.

Not mine but I have a friend with the IMM-6 and he measured it.

Went to A2A once again and finally managed to get a curve for the Westone W80. The small nozzles and thin stems are an absolute nightmare for coupler fittings and microphonics and I couldn't get a reliable curve for the longest time.

    Westone W80

And some remeasures of previously dubious curves:

    Campfire Vega
    A&K T8iE MK2
    Shure SE535

And a cheapo yet strangely great sounding IEM from Woolies:

    Philips SHE3595

    Notes and impressions:
The W80 was not impressive to me. Tonality is a little off, upper midrange is a little too subdued, bass is still slightly one-dimensional and the treble is still typically "Westone" which lacks proper definition. To be fair, I absolutely loathe the Westone house sound so I may not be the best person to ask. But still, even the technicalities of the W80 were not apparent to me at least with the little time I had with it.

Thanks for sharing your friends' measurement of the KZ ZS5. The first graph looks pretty much on target with your measurement. Very much appreciated.

Wow that's an impressive collection of measurements. May I ask what cable was used to measure the FitEAR 335/SR? I suppose it was the default 001 cable. Anyway good work there.

It should be the stock cable. Why do you ask?

    Thanks @La Cenric.

Because the stock cable isn't the best suited cable for this ciem. The 000 cable has an audible effect on the 335 (SR or not) and I would have liked to see it in measurements.

According to my resident FitEar expert, I should be using the 006(?) cable during the time I measured. Probably.

Thanks again. The 006 doesn't have any particular audible difference with the stock cable (001). It's more flexible though.

New measurements. Not mine but by a friend (reddit profile here as credit) back in SG with the same setup.

    Fiio F3
    Fiio F9

The F9 curve looks very nice. Definitely interested to hear it when I get the chance.

    Notes and impressions (not mine)
    F3
: Fairly extended treble, reminiscent of the VSonic GR07. Decent bass quantity with mildly recessed midrange but balanced between the lower and upper mids.

F9: Unit used had a problem on the right channel. Visceral yet linear bass profile that doesn't bleed into the mids. Good note body that's not the most lush but compares well to the Ultimate Ears UE7 in terms of thickness. Treble has adequate quantity.
