It was delicious. I didn’t read the label closely so the 9.2% ABV was a surprise!

Agreed on Perennial and Side Project. Love Side Project beers! Hard to come by though. So if anyone wants to send me a care package from St. Louis...

I'd sit on each of them for a year+. Especially if you are going to have the opportunity to try them on tap somewhere nearby. I try these fresh on tap, so that all my bottles can be cellared for varying lengths of time.

My local brewery is serving Dubnog (Dubbel & Eggnog). Seems kind of wrong, but I'm definitely going to try one. Apparently any dark beer will work. Anyone tried anything like this? [IMG] [IMG]

You're in Wisconsin now? I'm in Chicago and have lots of Midwest beers that I can recommend...

Haha, no I’m in Florida. Now that I’ve reread my post, I can see why you guys thought that. I had no idea the collaborator of that Belgian was in Wisconsin! The local stores here in Florida have a much different selection from those on the south side of Atlanta, so I’m going to get to try several Belgians not previously available to me.

For other hop-heads out there, finally got to try Melvin Brewery from Wyoming. Their 2x4 DIPA is super-tasty.

Asterisk DIPA is coming up next. Can't wait.

Never thought I'd be raving about a brewery from Wyoming!

    Cheers

Ayy, MIA brewing was super close to my uni back home so I've gone quite often. I really love that beer.

Just a few things from my beer life.... I went to Richmond, VA last last week and went to The Answer and Triple Crossing Brewing. Both places had insanely good sours and I would totally recommend it.

Also was in Atlanta last weekend so I went to the Porter Beer Bar and had a 2009 and 2011 Oude Gueuze from Boon and Tilquin. Interesting how both drank so well. One was so smooth and carbed while the other was full bodied and extremely complex. Highly recommend it. They have a LOT of beers in their cellar, not necessarily just sours.

Lastly, when I went to Belgium I made friends with a few people there and we're been keeping up through the internet. I'm planning to go back in September to meet them again so that will be exciting. One of them let me buy beers at cost and shipping so I took them up on it. My sour heart is so full. Funny enough he tells me he's going back in March and can do it again but I said no lol. Initially bought them for Christmas gifts but it didn't come fast enough, sadly so I will probably just age quite a few of these and wait for birthdays or special occasions for some.
