My cheap old Canon Powershot seems to be using up fresh AA batteries of either alkaline or fancy rechargeables after only about 12-15 shots.

Is the camera dying? Never had to swap batteries as fast as this until recently. So the question becomes.

What camera can I get to do ebay shots etc. that is dirt cheap and takes sd card with good long life battery?

I guess this was one of the last ones that did not have a rechargable lithium battery.

Or should I force myself to figure out my v10 camera on my phone, I hate phone cameras.

May have solved the problem temporarily. Seems there another battery like the bios batter in a pc. It maintains time and date when you change the AAs. so the warning was for the 10 year old 3 v litium cr1220 battery. I removed it and now the batteries I thought were too low are perfectly fine.

No landfill and no new camera, win win!
