    I guess I'll be bringing my HD800 and HD650.

    How do these usually work? Will I get to test my headphones on different amp setups at the different tables or is it more about listening to other people's full chains? Is everyone just playing whatever random music they're into? Does it get loud with all of the open headphones being listened to at once?

    Also do you guys have any general tips on how to evaluate sound effectively at these events?

    You would need a ticket to get in. I had thought it was fairly limited (Friends-only with some specific exceptions) and for good reason. So, make sure in advance before just showing up. Sorry, since I don't know you, I could be unaware that you've already gone through that process.

    REMINDER TO MYSELF:
    1. Ravi is getting 120 lanyards and big badges. Everyone please put your REAL NAME and HANDLE on them and wear them at the event. I am horrible with names.
    2. I am bringing a bunch of Sharpie markers.
    3. Need to hit spirits store to find a good $100+ bottle of bourbon. I keep forgetting.
    4. Bring extra DACs and headphones for Doug / ECP. (Let's him out guys - he's travelling light).
    POSITIONS NEEDED:
    • Who wants a paid writing position for the event? $250. Requirements: a good 350+ words on each vendor table, 500 word overall on event, and 200 words on each attendee who brought gear. Does not need to be just about audio. Just tell a good story. Good writers wanted. I want good after event coverage. Feel free to write two versions. One for IF, and the other for us with caulk jokes and stuff.
    • Any volunteers for front desk registration in the morning to noon would be nice.
    • Any big guys? We need bouncers to get rid of flippers that show up to these events, like when Christian and Chris grabbed this flipper guy and hung him over the balcony by his ankles Batman-style a few years ago.
    • Need someone to print out 120 King Jude as Louis XIV postcards and strategically place them around the premises.
