DHL = What will go wrong this time? FedEx = Good chance I will have problems. USPS & UPS = Problems are quite rare and are easy to fix when one happens. YMMV
FedEx truck slowed down but did not deliver package scheduled for yesterday. They rescheduled for today. Today tracking says "delivered" but no package. Spent quite a while on the phone. Said they will call me back by 10PM. I'm kind of hating FedEx, ATM.
The FedEx process: Put the problem in the driver's hands for the next 5 days. Then it goes back to a Rep. Then, I don't know what happens. Schiit process: Reship my order in less than an hour and ask me to return the original if it shows up - which they do not expect to happen.
Eitr + a Saga remote ($211.61 total). Quite a distinction between the two companies as far as how much their customer's time and satisfaction is worth.
FedEx saga ended today, 8 days and 5 phone calls after it started. Was told the driver said "He saw a lady picked up the package and take it into my house". I told them I was about 5 feet from the front door at the stated delivery time and had no one at my house that day.
She then said the driver did not say the lady went it into my house, he just said "she pulled into the driveway". I said since I was sitting by the door, I would have heard some of that. She said the case is closed and tell the shipper my story.
Yes. Schiit reshipped within an hour of me emailing them. Received the package yesterday. I quit using FedEx years ago after too many problems. I tried them again because of the positive wording on the Schiit checkout page. I won't make that mistake again. USPS or UPS for me.
