        For me, every album starting from Meddle in ‘71 to The Final Cut in ‘83 are all excellent. Take your pick. Not a fan of much else they’ve done. The Divs Bell is ok I guess.

        I don't know if you have had a chance to set them up to take advantage of their imaging. Back when they were new, that was probably what they were most known for. (No mics, no DSP, just a reasonable room and common sense.) I heard them like that a few times and thought they imaged really well.

        Also for soft synth recreations: G Force M-Tron Pro is very very accurate to the real thing, many options, costly. Toontrack Mellotoon has a limited selection and less true to the original but close enough for a casual user and a great creative tool. Also inexpensive (if you have EZKeys).

        As someone with a 580, 600, 650 & 6XX (yes, I know I have a Senn problem), I'd save your money for something else.

        @Mystic to me it sounded a bit smoother. As @Bill-P says, it sounds less “peaky”. I didn’t spend too much time with them stock with the 600 grill though. I ended up modding them per bill-p’s mod. If you have the 600 or 650, it’s worth swapping out the grills and trying them for yourself.

        OK. Ill just play around with these two sennheisers for now. See what switching grills around does. Try some other stuff. Measure stuff. Hopefully try to save up for something else. Not headphones. Speakers or a car, depending on how my car I have now is doing.
