@ButtUglyJeff The Terry Crews one is amazing, I actually teared up. And the interview itself was fine, Charlize Theron was a good sport and totally chill, just that Sean Evans used ACTUAL Rorschach cards in the interview as a f'ing joke, and considering how hard people go to keep those things under wraps it pissed me the f**k off.

I liked the whole thing, she was really cool throughout and I was super impressed how she handled the sauces too! I didnt get why the Rorschach part pissed you off though?

@jayeshrc Because part of what makes a psychological exam valid is the test-taker's not knowing what's going to be on said exam. Same principle applies to, say, a trigonometry test leaking a week before the actual exam— you have more time to prepare "fake" answers.

Yes, I'm shooting myself in the foot for confirming that the images they used are legit, but if I'm Streisanding myself then so be it.

@Cspirou As in audiobooks, movies, and the like? Come to think of it, yeah, I have heard similar before, huh. Gonna go through my Netflix to check if there's anything in particular that stands out :P

And thanks @Vorlon! Bumping her up to first on my to-get. Then again, these are supposed to be stress tests for treble so I may not fare well XD

Money For Nothing by Dire Straits. It is a beautifully recorded song but any speaker or headphone with noticeable treble peak/spike will fail hard on the intro and the song will hurt your ears. There is a shift from intro to main song where the instruments (especially the drums and synths) sound louder.

But even though I can thank this chat for informing me about them, Must maintain the rule not to break screwdriver sets! Sorry.

iFixit Universal Bit Kit. I was seduced by the wooden box.

You don't have to spend that much: smaller iFixit kits also include JIS. But no oak.

@JK47, "I didn't go bald, the hair moved to my chest"

You're lucky. The hair on my chest went grey and the head stuff started growing out of my nose and ears.

I thought I could look distinguished and romantic in old[er] age, with a thick head of silver hair. All I got was the thick head.

Went back to the salon almost immediately after. They tried fixing it a bit and now it's an ashy blonde colour at the ends.

It kinda sucks since my sister was pretty fond of her hair, but as you say, it does grow back. Ah well, maybe she'll just thwock the lot off and rock a pixie cut or something.

Granted, it was my fault for initiating and suggesting an ODAC may be a bottleneck given the rest of his chain (they posted a WTB for one in a FB group I'm in for $90), but gah.

Also, @ButtUglyJeff, they do save money in the end, though, so not sure who the actual winners are LOL

By the way, just as a mental exercise, for the everything-sounds-the-same crowd, you could try saying that everything /could/ sound the same if simple transparency was /everybody's/ design criteria. But it isn't, and never will be.

The actual criterion is anything from house sound to broken!

Amazon has them for not much more.

What really bites is how the seller said that these were a collaborative limited edition, similar to the HD650, and that they're selling it for much less than the HD650 MSRP here. What they neglected to mention is that the HD6XX only goes for $199 new.

        This is just disappointing.
