You looking to get into game development? I'd highly recommend looking toward Unity.

Not really, just playing with computer science. I'm getting a minor in computer science. Major will be Mechanical Engineering with Acoustics Concentration. But I'm just playing around making this game. It is an infinite scrolling bullethell type game. It works, but its not very good yet. Right now I'm working on cleaning up the code, as some of it is pretty bad.

Definitely a fun CS project. Java still makes me shiver so I stay very far away :P

Java is the f'ing devil. Satan designed the language himself.

Java and c++ is all I know.

Both are good languages. C# is my favorite (mix of C++ and Java concepts)

Agreed on Javascript. Editing and debugging that language is one of the worst things ever.

Learning any language is useful. The more you're comfortable with, the faster you can pick up another. And, each has its strengths. All I use day to day now is Lua, but knowing other languages made picking that up a snap.
