I was thinking of buying a turntable last year before news of the Sol came out. Now, I'm seriously glad I didn't jump the gun on that. Would be great to hear others' impressions though!

I heard the prototype at the Schittr, and it sounded good, even though the Salk speakers are bass limited. I'm looking at the P6, pro-ject perspeX and classic, and the clearaudio concept. I'm just trying really hard not to impulse buy!

Im the same. I have an old Technics that does ok, an upgrade would be nice but I'm not ready to spend big bucks. Hopefully Sol can solve that.

hope it ultimately offers speed control for 33 and 45 rpm, that would be a big limiting factor otherwise.

@brencho, I concur, even though I don't have many 45s. Coming from a Debut Carbon, I really just want a quiet, non resonant TT. I can also probably stretch to a new Prime Scout, but I hate the idea of an epoxy arm on an expensive turntable.

Yeah definitely, you could scout for a used table with the stainless steel arm as well

anyone have a link to an overview of all the arms VPI has offered over time? I saw a scout a few days ago for sale but wasnt sure of exactly what I should look for apart from no 3D printing/epoxy
