Bad habit from Head-Fi where certain amount of posts is needed in order to start flipp...trading? On a more serious note, people are probably just excited to be a part of new community. Online boards are usually viewed as public places with freedom of speech rather than private clubs with certain rules or common practices.
IIRC David is a psychiatrist, so hopefully that's just in jest. As a student in the same field myself I'm reluctant to speak flippantly about disorders and the like, but maybe that comes with being in the biz for a while.
Well, there is OC flippant, OCD lite, and OCD serious.
OCD flippant: we all now what we mean. It is not meant to make light of a real problem. My friend with OCD Lite eventually called for help when lite turned to serious and she was unable to leave the house.
She doesn't like to talk about that time in her life, but I still have huge respect for the fact that she still managed three children, as a single parent with a fairly serious mental illness.
@Lyer25 , dont worry, after we get old and bald, make bad jokes with psychiatric disorders with our friends and family is almost all we have to have fun.
