I wouldn't wish this pain upon my worst enemies. Likely karmic punishment for being an ass to k.e. and others. Would I be an ass again knowing I would be punished this way? Probably! I'm nuts.

Take care. Pal at work had one earlier this year. He started walking funny and we convinced him to go see the doc.

dang. Is all that hiking causing you to sweat enough to throw off your electrolytes?

Doctors told me I am far more likely to have another kidney stone since I've already had one and I live in constant fear.

My first and only one so far was in 2011: 2mm and smooth. I hope I never get another one. Piss it out, Marvey!

3mm and jaggy chunks, like the rocks on the trails I hike. Almost certain it formed a few hikes ago on a "hard" rated trail at 95F temp where I ran out of water towards the end. Beer in place of water afterwards does not help either.

Oof, hope you feel better. That episode of Deadwood where Ian Mcshane’s character has to pass them unmedicated has never left me. Gives me the shivers just thinking about it.

I haven't got there yet. But is common enough that I'm confident is bound to happen. Not looking forward for it.

@purr1n What kind of stone was it? If calcium, did you get a list of high-oxalate foods to avoid?

Oh yeah. Around the time of the "hard" hike, I loaded up with chicken, beef, orange juice, tofu, fish and chips, chocolate, dark green veggies, tea, vitamin C, and beer. All the high oxalate or dehydrating stuff that contributes to kidney stones.
