How so? I keep giving them a chance every few months but haven't been able to fully make the switch

the web app has been working flawlessly. super fast, no pauses and good suggested tracks. There is a mode that takes the cover art, spins it like a vinyl and sets the background color scheme off that.

Only on the web app or also on the PC software? I'm probably due to give them another month try anyway

I only use the web app with chrome. I can give the pc client a go and let you know.

how's the selection compared to spotify? i haven't tried tidal yet but lots of folks seem to like it.

tidal has a lot of exclusive content in mainstream pop and hip hop. spotify has better coverage of lesser known artists. i hesitate to say this, but the way it is now I prefer the tidal interface.
