    I didn't bring mine and wish I had. I think it really comes down to what kind of travel you will be doing, and what kind of shots you want to take. Your phone is fine for cheesy group shots in front of a monument, but sunsets into the Mediterranean?

    Bring a good prime and a small zoom at most. A 50mm prime and 28-80/105mm FF equivalent are plenty. If you have a M43-body with decent kit lens bring that. M43 is so good these days.

    I got rid of my dslr setup after struggling with it when I traveled to China. Got a Sony RX100IV and haven't looked back. A much happier traveler now.
