No my droogies, no ultraviolence or milk today. They have changed me. Made me viddy a bit of the old ultraviolence and schmeking malchicks. Plus I have this essay to write. I wish I had a vinyl setup like alex though. He is one of the most famous audiophiles.

Its spooky how close the MDR-Z7 is to the Z1R, with a little help.

Buy used Z7 for $300, get the Kimber cable for $150 used, and dampen the interior of the cups without covering the bass ports, and shazam...

Cool. That NP2rx seems bizarre. I wouldn't want a cable to be a tone control. Use the knobs on your instrument or amp, or a pre or EQ pedal if you want.

@cizx.6 Agreed - if you're going to buy a nice gun you need to be shooting someone regularly with it.

@Azteca I've honestly been using the same Dimarzio cable for probably 15 years or more with no probs! Take good care, learn to roll it back up properly and take steps to relieve strain such as always putting it through your strap before plugging it into your instrument and any decent cable should last a long time.

@DigMe yep I hear ya. As an audio engineer I instinctively wrap everything properly with over-under which keeps it all working great. Looping through strap is great and I also use right-angle connectors where they make sense.

Yeah the reissue probably comes from the CD which was made from the master tape and original instrumental tracks Fripp lost in the 60s and found in the early 2000s. The original lp was made from a generational copy and doesn't sound good.

Modi Multibit>Val2>hd650 is a great combo that I enjoyed for awhile. I agree with the others that a Bifrost could be a better investment unless you plan on getting Gungnir Multibit later down the road. Schiit gear holds it's value either way though.

Bifrost looks nicer stacked with the Valhalla anyway. Bifrost 4490 might be worth a listen with the HD650. I thought it sounded a little bit brighter than the multibit, which could pair well.
