The audio community doesn't really have to invest as much R&D as it might appear, at least not to make large sheets of graphene. Graphene has a ton of industrial applications and many groups are working to make sheets of the stuff cheaply. When they do that the enthusiast applications will follow.
The heat driver probably doesn't sound good at all is what I meant.
And also, to be not complete shit for other driver types, you would have to roll the graphene into thicker CNT. Otherwise, you get Stax ghosty weightless impactless sound, or HE1000 soft pillow land.
