I was kind of scared to look.

Especially after my contest entry, I could see why. But this is just a speaker.

Yeah, I looked. I just paused a few seconds and prepared myself for what might be. :) Is there a story behind this speaker, that I missed?

I still don't know why though. What am I going to do with a mono speaker?

Random thoughts: You might run across another one. You could sell it to someone that just needs one. If you have enough Mono music and the space, one speaker Mono is kind of cool. I've done listening tests over the years and found 1 speaker sounds the same as 2 properly set up speakers on Mono. It is just fascinating to me how much dimensionality can come from a good Mono recording through 1 speaker.

Not sure where I would find another Altec 602a, quite rare/I don't want to spend lots of money. Same with the cabinet. Mono would be cool, but I have no mono music... Didn't quite think it through before spending $50 on the speaker, $100 on recone kit, and $20 on cabinet. But its cool. Big though...

I have never knowingly tried Stereo folded down to Mono. That might be a possibility, as a second system, if you like the sound.

If you got a pair of speakers that were voiced similarly, it could be a center channel speaker. I did that for a while. It had some positives.
Stereo was initially conceived as such, IIRC.

Ill have to try out some of these uses. Issue is I'm going to college in 2 weeks, so ill have to leave the speaker behind. So bad timing...

Sell it, its likely you can make some money off it and use the money elsewhere. Also, you need to clean that (phone) camera lens!

The lense cover glass is shattered, no can do
