Does anyone know of a cheap way to add a remote volume control to a headphone stack. Like a schiit sys, but with a remote.

If you think the Saga S would work, Jason said it will be on closeout or last call in the next day or two as it's being discontinued. "perfectly balanced 64-step relay volume and passive output option, as well as a remote control."

Khozmo makes a remote-enabled attenuator; maybe you can find one used for a reasonable price. I bought a non-remote version for around $200.

Bifrost 2/64 in the hizzie. This will replace my og bifrost mulitibit. This sounds great, but so does the old one, so we'll see how it ends.

Well dang! This feels like a side grade for me. Maybe my ears are missing the boat, but the B64 isn't sounding "better" than the B multibit. They are a bit different, but if it is an improvement, it's not by much. IMHO ymmv.

I ordered the bifrost 2/64, hoping this is an upgrade to my 8yo og bifrost multibit. The og bifrost still sounds great to my ears though.

Oh yeah, it's a bit of an internal struggle. I swear that vali has a touch of liquid or something that is really clear and nice. I'm using some planers, hifiman edition xs, so thay aren't too picky with source, imho

Vali stages better than Jotunheim for me, and is less edgy in the highs. I’d take Jot 1 over Jot 2 any day of the week though.

The LCD Classics just did not work for me. Felt very congested and claustrophobic...nobody else really talks about that so maybe it was just me. The XS, though...complete opposite...nice and open without sounding disjointed or overly airy.

Eikon pads were a recommendation just off the top of my head - haven't pad rolled on the Sundara specifically, but from what I know of how the pads affect the sound and the response of the Sundara I was thinking those might be a good fit... now that I think about it Ori pads might be better though. I don't bother with the rings, they're too hard to deal with. I just cover the housing with double stick tape.

Righto. The jot is a little on the forward side for these cans. The Valhalla 2 seems to tame those daggers a bit, but i don't know if it is the right pairing yet.

Granted, I'm saying this as a Clear owner (but pretty much same treble problems), they need something to smooth or lack any flaws in the treble for sure. My preferred sub-$1k pairings so far have been the MCTH+LPS and the T3; Jot and LCX have been painful.

No, more seriously, IEMs are very hot for one reason or another, and like others said, very cheap to ship and IEMs are niche enough that the manufacturers are probably much easier to work with than Senn or others who don't really need Massdrop.
