I think you should do more research on North Korea.

I do understand there are significant risks. But it would be interesting to visit before something ultimately happens. Experience it first hand, see if ever get a glimpse of the real North Korea.

Maybe start with China, work your way up the tyranny scale.

I'd kind of like to backpack across Somalia.

Maybe surfing excursion in Syria...then a camping trip in the Korengal Valley.

China is totally innocuous compared to NK. Especially for whiteys.

I travelled for two weeks in Syria back in 2007. Incredible trip. I think about it a lot these days. Kidding aside, If conditions change, I would encourage anyone to go.
