Yeah. The new ones have the upper mid aggressiveness fixed.

What?? That was the main issue I had with the Jot when I tried it on the loaner. When did this change happen?

@Marvey- yeah, it was good sounding every time I heard it before, but feeding it the Gungnir Multibit definitely takes it up a couple notches. And it's waaay smoother to my ears than the early impressions.

Heard Bill-P's Jotunheim recently and it sounded much better than I remembered. They've done something to them

@Melvillian I was surprised how even sounding it was straight out of the box with no burn in. I'm sure I'll have more to say as I listen more. I just wanted a competent SS balanced solution for my LCD-3s

How do we know what is a new Jot and old Jot?

@Grahad2 I guess I don't, actually. But there is no upper mid/lower treble fuckery I can detect, so I'm a happy customer.

Is this true? If you don't have the expansion card you can just make out the revision number inside (upper right through the vent holes) mine is 1.01

@Dino maybe he is. It really sounded warmer to me though. I owned a Jot paired with a Modi Multibit for a while and didn't like it. This time when i heard it, the chain was Gungnir Multibit balanced to Jot with balanced out to HD6X0. So maybe the fully balanced chain and Gungnir Multibit made it sound better?

@Dino if it is a Marvey mind-trick, well played! Not that it really matters, as I really like the sound

Can you peek into the vents and get the board revision? See internal pics above.

@Melvillian think I had a comment somewhere here about the Jot surprisingly source scaleable-- it really is
