    BR = BladeRunner My script just automates existing tools. 1. extract all video/audio streams from bluray 2. process the DTSMA, TRUEHD, LPCM... multi channel to 2, also mix in the SUB channel, and optionally mix in surround as DPL2 3. build new mkv/m2ts file. DACs see it as a 24/48 PCM stream.

    I downmix everything to 2.0 on my Oppo and pipe it to Yggdrasil. Use an Audiopraise upgrade card to even be able to send full res BD streams.

    Cool, sure everything (receivers, pi oscm/xbmc, roku, others) just down mixes to 2channel... but usually from the plain dts/ac3 stream, and no LFE -- i'm doing it manually in software & creating a new file :D
