    Two people I know killed themselves with firearms. One blew his brains out and the other guy shot himself in the heart. Two other people I know killed themselves in a more passive way: vehicle accident and drug abuse. Can't always legislate or counsel away immense suffering, which is part of the human condition. ST:TNG is nice to strive for, but is unrealistic. It doesn't work.
