iOS 9 felt like the pinnacle of unified simplicity for the OS. I miss it. 10 and 11 sacrifice this to adopt many features of Android, which I’m not a fan of (the iOS adoption, not the android OS).
My iPhone 6 w/ iOS 9 had a weird glitch last week where it had reception, but wouldn't make calls. So I finally got around to upgrading, all the way to iOS 11. Been pleasantly surprised at a smooth transition so far, although I find the overall aesthetics to be somewhat more "chunky" and less refined/subtle
My iPad Pro 9.7's control centre looks like a bad sliding block puzzle now under 11. It's a usability car crash. I suspect that Jobs would have hurt someone over this if it came out on his watch.
