So far only A/Bed a few tracks on Tidal through my iPad -> Noble X at the coffee shop and struggling to hear differences. Maybe slight volume and compression, seemed like the upright bass hit slightly harder on Hold On. Need to listen to it at home on better gear.
Just had time to listen to a few tracks here but some things definitely just seem to be louder than before and more compressed. One example of where you can hear this is Long Way Home. The upright bass is clearly kicked up in loudness as is the vocal track. I like the original better.
Another good example is The Part You Throw Away from Blood Money. The kind of ambient noise is definitely cranked up - the parts that sound like the guitar creaking and the sounds of background hiss and crickets. That definitely didn't improve the master IMO.
Most of his albums already sounded as good as they’re going to get. Even the SHM-SACD of Rain Dogs was a barely perceptible improvement over the original CD.
