LCD2C and Andromeda lose so badly to my studio monitors in every aspect. Will getting a Focal Clear change that?

Eve audio SC205 + TS107 sub. I had my doubts with the dsp functions on the speakers, but they scale quite well and sound like big speakers. Very good for nearfield listening, as it has more resolution, better imaging(expected), better dynamics, etc, without being fatiguing at all. The the sound is smooth and the timbre isn't thin or analytical either

I doubt it, i went to nearfield this year and it just makes any headphone(and most speaker systems) sound like toys. It is the best of both worlds really...

@BillOhio 100% agree. I find it's more enjoyable to read the plot synopsis on Wikipedia and imagine how it plays out, compared to the one I've just watched. Plot is OK methinks, directing/editing is not.

Good thing he won't be back for the next one. JJ Abrams is back (which can be good news or bad news, depends on how much you like TFA. I don't).

I was willing to go along with FA and forgive the hokey moments. On TLJ, I can't give the plot any respect. The central theme is a race against time until the rebels... run out of gas. Set aside how this movie wiped itself with my childhood and it was, in its own right, a terribly written movie. Worse, I think Rian Johnson is set to direct a trilogy(?)

Its a good pairing! another contributing factor of getting soekris over schiit was because of the andromedas. There is still a little hiss, but its is less than the WM1A(already much quieter than zx2). So its very quiet. 1.5 ohm output....balance is good.

IMO you can’t hold up any fast food chain as “the best burger” but you have to think about it relative to other fast food chains. In-N-Out holds its own against fast food burger joints.

I learned the hard way early on in my career not to touch firmware upgrades unless there is critical fix or function you need. From this, I'm leaving 1.2 on my WM1A, since I am happy with it.

It wasn't doubt, but it was to fund a soekris dac. Got a lot of work recently, and began traveling like crazy again. Needed a dap so I just had to try the ZX2 again. I really like the form factor more, darker tonality, had tidal streaming(though rarely used) and I liked some of its liquid sound characteristics, but I found myself missing many of things I heard from the WM1A. Hiss again was the killer.

Its great! I do miss some technicalities of the WM1A, but I like the overall darker tonality better and find it more musically enjoyable. Got a very good price on almost new unit, allowing me to pick up a dac1421 for the desktop. Gonna just stick with the zx2 until next sony flagship, or 1Zs start selling at a reasonable price.

I enjoyed the soundtrack. I went to some imax version with certified blah blah blah blah theater...didn't really care for all the labels, but I was really impressed by the bass in the theater. Very tight, controlled, strong. Came back home listened to it on my studio monitors....just doesn't have the same rippling, felt impact in the airwaves. Wonder many speakers or subwoofers it takes to get the same effect.
