Pendragons and lores. Bass extension and resolution poor, distortion kills resolution from the tweeters and completely lacks top octave data, string harmonics totally suck, complex passages fall apart and on the pendragons weirdness around the transition to upper mids.

Also we get it, you love your tektons and want to defend the brand vehemently on the internet. Tekton's WALLOFSOUND can be appealing but after moving toward more resolving speakers I can't recommend them. @JK47's fostex sigma + super tweeter setup at the LA meet was revelatory and I've found designs with fewer higher quality drivers and way less complicated crossovers to just be better.

Wow. All I did was ask what Tekton speakers you had heard and what you didn’t like about them. There was nothing in my question that came close to being defensive. I have only heard my Tektons so I have no basis to compare them to other versions. I wanted to get actual answers to my questions.

After I get my Don Sach’s preamp broken in it might be interesting to bring it, my M-22, and Double Impact speakers to an LA meet. It would illuminating to hear the DI’s compared to other speakers and to get other SBAF’ers opinions and feedback.
