Thanks everyone. I just talked to him for an hour. He's home and feels pretty decent. Caught it early, so damage is light. Don't skip those check ups. Especially if heart disease runs in the family. And don't ignore symptoms. Heartburn ain't always heatburn bros.
BTW. He does all the right things. Diet, exercise, physicals etc. Hey you docs out there, he's my first cousin. Should I ask about a non-invasive test for me? I will not consider any replies to be medical advice or diagnostic etc.
Thanks @Gaspasser. Lab tests look good. Exercise tolerance? Not sure. I'll check it out. I did. The S.F vs. Mets game tickets are $1488 for home plate seats. :)
Depending on your history prior to surgery, the Anesthesiologist may want a stress test that is nuclear medicine study with a medication to stress your heart instead of treadmill stress test.
Heard of this. Friend had a hip replacement. No history other than family. He's very much into daily exercise. Anesthesiologist put it off due to Na levels. Hoping I can get the test TBH. Next podiatrist visit ask what cardio I can do that's safe for my tendon. Man thanks a lot. Really appreciate it.
