I didn't notice an appreciable difference with the BTG hardwired cable. It's more for aesthetics and a better connection compared to SMC.

Or better yet: forget the Tubes, to get that Schiit Raggy V2 ("Tube-like") Upgrade or that Vidar-cased Class-A 25W 2018 Proto, that Mr Stoddard have teased us, last night with!

I'm jus' a Rando so obviously simply 100% speculating; but I was wondering if what Torq was talking about several months ago... and then Marvey mentioned just recently about a possible M22 vintage Amp <successor> that MIGHT show up (or as a <HYBRID>, prolly referring to a Tube-like stage in it, if it ever sees the light of day in a Schiit Raggy 2 / Vidar 2?) and all that talk of 6-9 months to a year back in Sept....

But if only I had the patience to hold off and NOT buy an EC Aficionado Amp before Summer '18! Nor any new Headphones...Then I <could> possibly save up for a Schiit Tubey-like Stack... and NO I'm not talking about Octal LISST "Tubes" in Freya/Saga... I want a REAL KNOB to "Fine-Tune" all the Tubey-ness to my desires! Eh ehhh? :D

Yeah, I'm thinking Aficionado for Clear and Auteur but need serious power and warmth for Code Sex/HE-6 etc. Class A power amp would do nicely.

I would of already gotten Aficionado if it wasn't for my eternal hate & horror of Rolling uber fake & pricey <Boutique or Ebay> "NOSucky" Tube-sets.
I really don't want to go down that Rabbit hole; as I'll dig myself into it so deep, I'll prolly come out of Taiwan or worse yet: Russia!
And believe me, I know, I'm from there! Their fake poisonous lead-filled Tubes give me nightmares!
OK, a bit exaggerating, but still.

I'm dreaming of this Setup:
Tunable/Tubey Raggy V2 w/ a Remote Control, routed as a Pre-Amp... going into a Class-A: Vidar V2 or its sibling Power Amp w/ 25 Clean Watts on Tap.
And could be used for a good variety of Speakers, esp if ran as Bi-Amped on Highs/Mids w/ regular Vidar A/B for amazing Bass: on Lows.
Of course the Tubey RaggyV2 + Tubey/SS Vidar ClassA 25W gives the HE-6 the ULTIMATE SEX-appeal! Oh yeah! :P

Have you tried or gonna try those Focal Clear (along w/ your incoming ZMF Auteur)?
From the impressions of: Marvey, (today's Clear review by Tyll) & @gbeast combo comparisons/thoughts... it seems like this two HP's might be a killer-combo IF paired w/ proper Tube & SS Amps?
I'd love to get the Clear, myself, as well; though Auteur is just out of my budget, sadly.

That's the plan. I'm on the loaner list so hopefully it's a good alternative to the Auteur.

Just wanted to give you props for going for it, building it up & finally achieving such a bad-ass & beautiful end-game Setup (oh & nice rack too, btw!) from today's pic!

I'm gonna follow in ya footsteps & save-up for something that's quite the similar TOTL caliber; as the end of my own audiophile journey nears... towards full enlightenment, audio nirvana & great Schiit alike, LOL!

I saw that you're now selling your Yggdrasil A2 along w/ your Spring DAC. Don't mean to sound nosy, but if I may ask... care to share a reason for selling both of your TOTL DACs? Or is it, perhaps, personal/TMI?
