I agree with @jacq to an extent. I am not a commuter, but there are a few occasions they come in very handy. I haven't heard the isine20 yet, I have been enjoying the isine10 at work when it is slow, or when doing work around the house, even when gaming. They really do sound like over the ear open headphones, it's a pretty fun experience.

i was going to get these...but with lacking noise isolation, decided not to.
i was stupid enough before to once wear earbuds that didn't fully isolate
and hence turned up the volume to compete with the ambient noise (duh)
....but i do love what audeze is trying to do in sound sig...sort of in between an iem and set of cans
    with planars...so kudos.

will be interesting what their upcoming (summertime eta) TOTL iem LCD i3s will be like ---$$$

Got the iSine 20 loaner in today.

These things are legit. Not flawless, but definitely great. $600... seems like a bit much. More details at a later time.

Note: not stock tips, Noble mediums I believe. Extremely bassy.

Stock tips sucked. I couldn't get seal. They really felt like cheap tips too. Very thin, I didn't like. I found, as usual, spiral dots to be the best. Wish I could get Westone star tips to fit, I think they'd be best.

I also prefer spiral dots to the stock tips. I was able to get the stock tips to seal, but prefer the sound and comfort of the spiral dots.

I tried the iSine 10 just now. Being used to BA and DD sounds, I immediately captivated by the lushness of the Planar mids. I was a hair away from buying it on the spot, then I was told there's an iSine 20. Hmmm. Gotta wait for the 20s first.

Anyway, the fit and mobility will be the issues for me. And otot, it's not exactly outdoor friendly.

    I don't need these.

(Repeats to himself) I don't need these.

I don't find the price of $550 for the iSine20 with standard cable to be so intimidating. Japanese IEMs of which I have a few kind of immunize one after a while. Not worth getting the Lightning cable though. I would run them from the LPG to give them proper power.

You cannot buy them over here yet so I am safe for now.

Lol. I didn't get the iSine cable either. Don't have an iPhone so pretty much useless for me.

Just got the iSine 10 in, really quite enjoying it, I suspect the seal in my right ear isn't optimal though. These are perfect as lab IEMs though
I need me some spiral dots.

I'm under the impression audeze doesn't recommend a good seal for these.

"By designing the earphones to rest just inside the ear canal..."

Can anyone comment on a good seal vs just resting in the canal as designed?

I've heard of Apple placing restrictions on the standard 3.5mm cables with the Sines, so they cannot be sold as spares on their own (at least in the UK). I wonder if it's the same for the iSine models.

By the way I've tried the iSine20 and they stuck out of my head by a good inch or so. The 'earfins' did the same, missing my ears very well. Sounded marvellous though!

Why would Apple care about the 3.5mm cable? I would check your source. Sounds like internet rumor.

From what I understand, any "standard" 2 pin IEM cable will work. Can anyone verify this? Sorry if this was already discussed.

Tried them with standard 2pin cable, worked alright.

It does have that ring to it; this came from the UK distributor so contact them and see if you can get a 3.5mm SIne cable. I don't mean this to sound combative; it's just a good method and if I go on trying to convince you then the BS smell will get stronger. They couldn't supply these to a retail outlet upon enquiry so perhaps they can do it direct?

    Interesting.

I notice the cable is not listed on the USA accessories site either. Maybe they are just not available due to limited supply.

Interestingly enough, the Sine page on Audeze's site says the Sine comes with a 2.5mm stereo cable. Is that a misprint?

^ Easily done - it says '2.5m stereo cable' ;)

I have to say that iSine 10 plus Zelda BOTW is pretty awesome.
