CanJam NYC 2017 - Impressions Thread

I didn't listen to the Eikon long enough to say. I was not familiar with the upstream gear of both setups plus the meet conditions. Maybe when @Cradon gets a pair of Eikon, I can make a better evaluation but I can't compare directly.

 

I was under the impression that there all the darker wood Padauk units were Atticus models.
I am not sure about it and whish I had compared .
I found the Eikon (cherry) to be superior and my fav of the show.
The Sony was another impressive can with just amazing low end bass,
but I noticed more vivid mids on the Eikon.
How much the setup and meet conditions played a part can't say.
I just know the Eikon had worse conditions being in a noisier corner,
While the Sony was in a quiet Woo audio room.
They both had setups using Tidal so I was able to play same tracks.

 

Yeah, it was really cool meeting you too! This was my first time being behind the booth at a CanJam event and it was neat meeting people who know of me. This past year has been full of "firsts" for me in the hobby.

Hopefully I'll see a few more people from the SBAF community at the upcoming Senn HE-1/Shangri-La/Ether E/SR-009 event at The Source AV!
