Oh, so glad I found this thread :headbang:
(perhaps that was not the most appropriate emoticon for electronica...)

So much good stuff I could post, but let's start with this, since it's been stuck in my head the last couple of days:

O.K. this one does not fit anywhere really, but it just is a wonderful experiment to my ears. Compositions originally written for electronic music are played here on classical instruments by a large chamber orchestra. Composer is Henrik Schwarz, the music is performed by the (rather young) Tokyo Secret Orchestra at the Tsukiji Honganji Temple in Tokyo in 2013.
Some of the tracks vaguely do remind me of some pieces by Michael Nyman / Philip Glass / Steve Reich.

More information on the project: http://ravejazz.com/project/project-instruments/

Link to short Youtube video about the project (worth seeing)

    Indeed...very nice thread.
Some old stuff and many new/not known to me, brilliant stuff . Subscribed.

Would like to throw in Moiré´s new album "No Future" from the Ghostly International record label.

Only just found this thread! Awesome :)

Mainly listen to DnB/Techno/House. Dabbled in music production for many years with some small successes many moons ago.

    First contribution, more to come.

My cousin has been heavily involved in the Fort Worth music scene most of his life. He's been way into 80's synths long before they became cool again and has a big collection. Here's him rehearsing a performance from his one-man show that he does. I like it a lot:

His main gig is a trio called Programme.
