FS: LCD-3 Prefazor, Sony ZX-2

Hi guys,

I've got some stuff available.

I have some JBL LSR 4328P studio monitors with stands. The condition of the finish is notiriously fragile on these so they don't look great, but they sound excellent. Since these are a pain in the ass to ship, if anyone is interested and near the suburbs of New York, or in Ohio lemme know as local pick up is way easier with these monsters. $450.

I've been eyeing the JBLs for a while after reading up on how they're pretty decent for the price, but I suppose shipping to the Philippines is out of the question, haha.

Er hm... If you’ll pay for it I’ll do it maybe, it’s just that is probably going to be very expensive... I’ve never looked into shipping so far away. It’s not ideal.

 

Haha! I have tried buying larger items abroad before and I can vouch for the fact that both shipping fees and local VAT are going to make it a far less excellent deal than it is (besides, I'm still saving up for a ZDS some time later this year or next— penny pinching mode engaged!).

Having said that, I do hope you find a good home for them

If you want the Dita Dreams with them I'll do a bundle, that pairing was awesome the bass is kickass, but Andromeda is more enjoyable to me with the Sony ZX2 because of the Hugo 2s low output impedance.

 

Great price on the Dreams! As far as I know, there are only a few units left for sale from Dita and production has ceased. So if anyone's thinking about it I'd snag this pair right away. It's about to become much harder to obtain.

It's not that I don't like it. I own a DAVE though and Andromeda pairs much better with the Sony ZX2 because of the low output impedance on the Hugo 2. So in my set up that gives the Hugo 2 no purpose. The Hugo 2 definitely has that "chord" sound of smoothness and it sounds much better than Mojo, but just doesn't match DAVE.

 

For friends I'll drop the Dita Dreams to 1200. I'll also drop the Hugo 2 with case and Apple camera adapter to 1900.

 

I STARTed saving, if its still available I think I can buy it in march. Can you sent it to a friend of mine in a US address?

Anyone have interest in a ZX2 for 550ish? Debating letting it go, would be more inclined if someone actually is interested in one. Pairs great with my Andros but I'm debating switching iems.

 

I have an HD800 with SDR and rug liner mods and an LCD-3 prefazor too now that I'm getting rid of. Round 1 of trying other headphones.

725 for the HD800, 1200 for the LCD-3. I can upload pics later as needed.

I was surprised by how much I liked the 3 prefazor... And as usual HD800 shines with certain recordings and is less great with others.

 

If I weren't trying to build out a home theater setup right now, I'd be all over the HD800. I miss mine very much when I listen to classical music.

 

Oh yeah, these headphones really must have been made with a lot of classical in mind, they're so satisfying for that with their massive soundstage. Despite Utopia being my favorite headphone HD800 is the one I'm having trouble selling... I keep almost not wanting to let it go for big airy tracks. Despite LCD-3 probably being better for me overall... Although I guess that's mostly because Utopia completely outshines LCD-3 for me.

 

LCD-3 Prefazor 1100 for friends. If you have Roon the preset for this thing is imo quite enjoyable.

 

ZX2 still available? I’m looking for a DAP to pair with my Andros.
