Bought a lot of recording gear this week and need to offset the costs by selling my HD800s. These were purchased from @Dr. Higgs last year but I haven't used them much for the past few months. Selling as a package only.

    Includes:
SBAF Absorber - Brings midrange of HD800s up
    SDR - Reduces treble peak
    Stock Cable
    ZY Cable - 4-pin XLR, maybe 6ft?
    Norne Draug2 - 4-pin XLR, Black, 10ft

Total: $900 Shipped and paypal'd (Add 3.5% for paypal fees if not gifting).

HD 800 Draug cable only - $275 shipped and paypal'd (Add 3.5$ for paypal fees if not gifting)

Just out of curiosity, what recording stuff did you get? And what for?

Pretty much exclusively for streaming on twitch and occasionally chatting with people. Kind of Overkill but it's hard to be satisfied with the quality of my current recording gear when my playback gear is so much better.

    Mics:
    At2035*
    At4033
    Sm7B
    Sm57*

    Preamps/interface:
    Focusrite ISA one
    Focusrite Scarlett solo*
    Steinberg UR12*
    Lynx E22 (A/D duties and AES16 replacement)

*Denotes stuff I had before the splurge. Some of this stuff will go up FS in the near future.

Dang, hit me up if you're ever getting rid of the AT2035. I just have a NEEWER NW700 going into a Pyle PAD20MXU as my general setup. Cheap but it works. Pretty jealous of yours!

I'll let you know! I think I have good examples of budget and mid-ranged condenser and dynamic mics to try out this weekend. I'm thinking the dynamics will work out better for my situation because they'll pick up less background noise and family talking. The UR12 and Scarlet Solo's preamps did not have enough gain for the SM57 unfortunately. The UR12 and AT2035 sound pretty good with some EQ to cut out the low frequencies due to the proximity effect though!

Overkill yep. It's a good learning experience though. It's pretty cool exploring the other side of the audio rabbit hole, although at a limited capacity. I can better appreciate how much effort it takes to record and mix vocals, as well as matching good recording gear together.

Yeah, luckily I live in a basement room, so there's not much ambient noise for my condenser to pick up on. Unfortunately, I don't have a proper stand+boom, and I've had to cut out the lower end of my audio so that the vibrations from key presses don't carry through. Makes me sound like I'm 14 over discord, but better than no mic at all.

    Pictures added to OP.

Do you have room for a mic stand? The Samson stand is pretty cheap but it doesn't support too much weight on it. Worked okay for the AT2035 and SM57 as long as I don't fully extend the arm. There's absolutely no way it would support the SM7B with how heavy it is. I ended up purchasing a K & M stand to replace it. Should be arriving tomorrow.

I might make a thread with some stream of consciousness posts on testing out the various mics and preamps for recording/streaming.

Hmm, might actually be able to fit that in somewhere. Not sure if it'll be ideal placement though.

And that'd probably be an interesting read!

Would you sell just the Draug cable?

Sorry guys, not interested in selling the cable separately unless someone wants to buy the rest of the set without the draug cables.

This is a good price. That Norne cable is killer and cost around $300 by itself.

HD800's sold locally. Draug cable still available for sale on its own.
