    Definitely Interested.

    In Central California (SLO area).

I'd be happy to send to @sphinxvc and also happy to wait for the East people to get their chance first, and hear it later.

These are probably the two items I'm most interested in hearing (probably the Project Sunrise III and the Regen are the other two).

I'm definitely interested here in Georgia, but as with the Bitfrost MB, I'd want to be a bit later in the list, so the rest of my desktop set up can be in place.

I want in! I'm in Hawaii though. Priority mail is the same price here as to other places. I hope it doesn't sound too good or I"ll have to buy one :p

Ah. Already on the list for the Bifrost Multibit loaner, but I'll probably try for this in a year or so once I get familiar with the Bifrost Multibit.

Thanks for offering this to us, Marv!

Extremely interested, since I'm planning on getting the Gungnir Multibit in a while. The PM2, and the whole Oppo line has never really popped out at me, but I'll compare the PM2 with the HE-500 and GH1. Kansas here.
Do I need to verify myself or something to get on the list since I'm new here?

I wonder if it is ever possible we can get loaner programs that bring something from the US into Canada, have it go around to Friends, and then return to the US. Possibly at the end of the US tours.

It is possible but would require a bit more work (obviously due to customs). Let me see what I can come up with and see if this is possible and what type of costs are associated (I believe this would involve possibly contacting a customs broker and having them handle things). Correct me if I'm wrong here because at least for food shipping to Canada can be a pain.

There are ways to label the items coming into Canada as non commercial, but still with stated value and insurance, and especially for products that do not have the retail packaging on them, as long as you state what the item is (general descriptions, not specific model numbers), no customs, duties or taxes are associated or have to be paid.

Also, we do not pay customs/duties on products manufactured in the USA, due to free trade agreement and all, just the tax we pay. But again, that's for retail, commercial purchases only.

Correct me if I am wrong though but even shipping between countries we would still need customs forms and it is still regulated by Canada Border Patrol about what can and can't be brought in?

There are customs declaration forms that must be filled, but the complicated process you are thinking of again applies only to businesses and commercial product sales.

There are however some taxes that are paid, even if the item is shipped as Gift, but that is really a very random process and depends on what the border decides.

Here is a list of things that are filled in the customs form https://www.canadapost.ca/tools/pg/manual/PGcustoms-e.asp#1382681

The one way I have found to avoid the taxes and customs is to label the package as "Warranty return/RMA" etc. There are other clever workarounds, which still keeps the insurance valid, and you can declare the right value, but pay no tax.

Of course, you are right that there are logistics much more complicated than domestic shipping that needs to be worked out, and us Canadians will responsible for the incurred cost, so please do not hesitate to investigate further on your free time and share your findings :D

I will also share my findings, perhaps on a new thread specifically for shipping to Canada or from Canada.

Shipping to Canada is easy. There is one additional form you need to fill out. The biggest problem is that customs will charge you sales tax on the demo product (which is only a problem for the Canadians). Apparently you can claim it back from customs when you send it back to the U.S.

Anyway, I would be in if you want to send it across the border. If the logistics works we should organize some type of cost sharing amongst any Canucks who want to try it.

I would be interested, especially if I can get it and MB Bifrost at same time.

    I'm interested. Located in CT.

I have a Bifrost Multibit to compare it to.
