    Hi guys i'm new to the forum and i need an advice if possible.

    I'm planning on buy a new pair of headphones that i will mainly use for gaming, right now i have a pair of Kingston HyperX Cloud II (Takstar Pro 80) that i use with my onboard audio.

    I was planning on buy either a pair of new Sennheiser HD660S or the new Audeze LCD2-C along with an amp/dac combo to drive them

    I need to wear them for atleast 5 hours everyday so prob the Audeze are not a good idea since as a planar magnetic they are pretty heavy, my budget anyway is 600 euro at best for headphones and the cheapest possible amp/dac deskptop combo to drive them properly (300 euro if possible). I live in EU so i would like to avoid Schiit if is possible even if they are a nice option. I'm open to any suggestion anyway

    Hi

    Nice to meet you. However:

    1. First, read this: http://www.superbestaudiofriends.org/index.php?threads/must-read-for-new-members.3/;
    2. Then, introduce yourself here: http://www.superbestaudiofriends.org/index.php?threads/new-members-introduce-yourself.17/
    3. Then, do some research on the site;
    4. Then, if still needed, post your question here: http://www.superbestaudiofriends.org/index.php?threads/the-all-purpose-advice-thread.19/
    You can find a lot of very helpful information here (much more than I was able to find anywhere else) but in return, you have to adhere to the local rules.

    Well, since you asked, might as well answer. You can get Schiit in EU, I think. From UK. They crossed the big pond.
    o2 from switzerland or magni, maybe fulla from UK. If you're gonna be doing just gaming, usually AKG and K7?? series comes to mind. Avoid the bumps versions. Ultra annoying.
    For virtual surround, usually razer is recommended.
    I'd suggest getting a used hd650 or hd600's instead. Bit more comfy. You will soon learn that the differences in headphones are not as profound as you'd think, once you reach a certain level of "good".
    At any rate, with a good transducer such as a k7?? or hd6?? you can, for starters, fiddle with parametric EQ and pink noise. Probably a better approach than throwing cash at heaphones and amps like I did.
    A good tube amp or a good solid state amp, they'll both be linear and low distortion, so just get what you like. Invest most in headphones, though, first and foremost. Then in amp, then, if you feel like it, in a dac.

    No @Ardacer , it's not "Well, since you asked, might as well answer". You wait for him to ask in the right place and then you try to help properly, otherwise you turn your attempt to help into an example of how not to do it.

    This is almost a 3 month old thread, and OP hasn't been on their account since early November. I don't think they're going to see the input regardless, and I'd guess they'd have gotten something by now.
