wow seriously @Thenewerguy009 ? shitposting here is exactly what should be avoided especially after this weekend of dreck.
took all my backbone to not give a Dislike for advocating noise over signal. somehow I didn't.

Looking back at it, @JewBear did us a favor.

He intended SBAC as a satire of where this site was supposed headed, but instead it ended up as Changstar: the failed experiment.

    you distribute credit too easily.
don't suspect @JewBear has the mental capacity to plan such an extravagant (social) experiment ahead of the actual leap to brash action.

I have only been here for a week. I'm usually one to lurk and sponge info and not post. But I found some real people here.....

Whatever is going on.... Marvey is really a kind of person that I would be happy to get to know. If you guys have a problem with this forum, I don't know what to tell you. There are all the other ones out there with...... how do I say it..... oh.... no I won't. Just go there and be a problem. I have only been here a week and I clearly don't want to see the forum owners and administrators frustrated with opinionated trolls. For once let's all get along. I'm going to be 60 in a few days and I finally found a place where I can actually post without trolls.

Do us all a favor....... If you are below the age of 40...... go outside and take a drive to a place where you have never gone....... do it as an adventure..... put that damn phone in airplane mode and disconnect from the wired world....... get out of the car at times and take notice of the world around you..... you will be put in a place that the "OTHERS" (people before texting) have lived for centuries..... it's called "getting out of the house".

Come on. I have seen life and lived all over this country. Your little bubble is just a needle in a haystack. There is so much more out there. And take it from me...... college only screws you in ways of learning real life. Professors have a jilted look on life, not particularly the way you should live it. Sometimes it takes way too long for you to realize what makes the world really go round. Enough said. Don't ruin a nice place........ I have found one to lay my hat. Dennis

mtoc lightened the mood from time to time. It's never too good to get too serious all the time.

There is lots of interesting/lite content around here that is outside the realm of shitposting. I'd say that "irreverence" is alive and well if you know where to look.
My observation is that the banning that does occur is often due to the "perceived intent" of the poster... in some cases it's obvious but in those where it's less so there is often a history that will add some context.

Now it has all calmed down a bit, I have yet another* Wondermark cartoon to share. It seems oddly relevant:
