I didn't post this in the all-advice thread because I think it's a bit of a long winded question, but I was hoping for some advice on how to write IEM reviews or reviews in general.

I am new to this hobby and new to this website and am really excited to have the chance to be here. I was able to happen upon klipsch's entire 2016 lineup of IEMs from their reference series (X6i, XR8i, X12i, X20i). The only impressions I have really seen about them from actual audiophile sites as opposed to CNET or something is Tyll's 1 paragraph on it last year with his measurements.

I thought this might be a good opportunity to practice writing impressions but I actively recognize that I'm not sure what to say about them or the things that I should be listening for in order to ensure that a post about this will be a valuable contribution to the community. Does anyone have any advice on how I might be able to listen with my limited experience and knowledge while still contributing impressions when there don't seem to be any on the site already?

I just want to make sure I do it right. Or as well as I can.

See the "Click here before your first post" link?

    Yeah.

You should really lurk more, like, a whole lot more.

Thanks for taking the time to read my long question post, I appreciate it. To be fair I did read that post when I joined yesterday and in it I saw the specific tips about newer users posting gear impressions and the guiding philosophy of the site. I've been lurking for a little over a month and finally had my chance to join.

I guess I'll just do my best and hopefully it turns out well. I promise it will not be a low effort 4 sentence post. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on like how to listen critically to IEMs specifically.
