Here's a link to my impressions of the Han Sound Zen 4-core OCC copper Litz cable over on the Andro thread, in case anyone not subbed there is interested. Not sure how it sounds with other IEMs, but with Andro it's an improvement over PWaudio No. 5.

 

Not really. I did join the drop for the EDC3. Supposed to ship late May. Will get those first and take it from there...

I don't have a problem with the Genelec tweeter and my HD650's are coinmodded. I suspect it has something to do with my ear canal? The Yamaha EPH-100 is very comfy for me. Wzrd Noble X was actually brighter than the MD+ in my case. Source iPhone X.

If the EDC3 won't work out, Next on my list to check out would be Brainwavz B400 or Pinnacle PX based on comments. InEar StageDiver series also look interesting...

From CN with love: Whizzer a15 (bassy, vshaped) Whizzer a15 Pro (ety like), Ostry KC09 (downward slope).
From other asian friends: A&D D6 (kinda hypy), maybe some low-cost classic like Zero audio DX200 or Hifiman Re400.
From TOL: Acustone iem finally become more accessible and new CA dynamic is coming in may.

 

Hope they work well! Keep me posted, if you listen to HD650 and like the EDC3 then I have to keep an eye out.

Between PX and B400 I've seen a decent number preferring the B400 after they bought theirs. I demoed the B400 briefly and think that both have their own strengths - PX is really going for PRAT and details while B400 has a very nice coherent tonality Shotgunshane alluded to on his list.

I don't know about other regions. Just know that UA stores got the whole lineup recently for test and sale. Dunno, maybe US friends don't have problems with acoustune.

Yep, saw that. Already thinking about getting them as secondary or maybe even daily iem.

 

fender fxa-2 died two days after warranty period expired, mmcx still snaps on tight but right side just died, no slow decline, or signs. rip.

 

Dear IEM friends, I just tried a Bluetooth cable prototype from BeatAudio, and it allows the EX1000 to sound very good from my phone. Loved it.

 

Any more info you can provide on this BT necklace? Supported profiles/codecs?

Are you using an MMCX adapter? The metal "lip" looks thicker than the one I bought from taobao.

 

This is a prototype from Beat Audio Lab, the actual one will be out soon and I will provide all the info.

I'm looking forward to seeing impressions on the new Final E4000 and E5000s. I know the E2000 and E3000 are pretty well regarded as budget options.

 

I'm super dumb. Is that the whole cable length? How do you wear this?

 

just ordered nuforce edc3, will be interesting to compare to my ety er4s. I just cannot deal with the fit of the etymotic at this point, i only use the ety's for the subway or very noisy environments due to stunning isolation, but the fit is just too uncomfortable

 

I had this problem using 3 flanges, but, cutting off the smallest flange then turning it into double flange made the trick to me. Now the Etys are rather comfortable. (Just make sure your 3-flange isn't the ones with shallow stem but with a longer like that).
