I emailed Larry to get some information on the GO2Pro, and here's what he said:

"Hi. GO2Pro is the GO2A with Battery and enhanced noise management. It won't use for USB 5V power so noise floor is even lower. ;-)"

Has anyone seen any comments about the reliability of the GO2A? The original GO seemed to be fine but there other DACs since then seem to get a lot of complaints.

I needs me a powerful portable, but I wouldn't put any money into a V2 with what I've read. The new one has a better chassis to be sure, but their desktop DACs appear to have issues too.

I dont have any complaints with the 2A at all, apart from it getting quite hot. Which has also not been an issue as such, and I've used mine quite regularly since getting it around the end of October.

But I keep the 3.5mm jack plugged in all the time, barely remove it and also leave the USB end plugged into my laptop all the time (I leave my laptop home during the day and end up turning my laptop off sothe 2A turns off with it in that case) so i thats where issues are coming from, I cannot comment on them.

Yes, the product looks awesome, a lot of solid engineering fixes to the pain of a transportable USB DAC- just the buying process is bewilderingly strange.

My Geek Pulse Fi which sees daily use and plug in plug out is still faultless, and my GO450 is still alive after even longer usage. (although the sticker is now blank). Anecdotally you're going to hear of more failures than non-failing units. Nobody (well most) will post "my unit is still working" but WILL definitely post if "my unit has spoilt!".

I thought if I bought a GO2A when they were simply "for sale" things might go okay. Too soon to know for sure, but I am getting a bad feeling about the GO2A I ordered last week. I thought that it had been Awaiting Fulfillment for a while and had a look at the page where I ordered.

LHLabs stuff is pretty much the only audio products you must get from the second hand market because you are assured of the existence of the goods.

I'd strongly recommend most consumers who aren't hardcore fans of the units just wait until channel fill of product before buying it.

You'll pay more over upgrading but you'll have low wait time and a traditional retail experience.

The new stuff is really solid. I've had some good experiences. I'm still sick as hell but I'm going to be the guinea pig and send my GO V2+ SE in to be reworked into the GO2Pro SE and let you guys know what the finalized unit feels like.

Did it say in stock? Send me order info. Everything should ship within a few business days if it's in stock. They test every unit before it goes out (unnecessarily at this point) and I've been trying to break that bad habit.

    weird on two fronts-
i've been in bed for 3+ days now with flu
    and
am also in the same upgrade queue with @Manny Torres for GO2Pro Special Edition full metal case.

i figure the Chinese New Year delayed production of these new metal cases.

I noticed that products have "Add to Cart" and/or "Add to Wishlist" options. I figured that they are in stock if "Add to Cart" is an option and out of stock if "Add to Wishlist" is the only option.

I'll PM you my order info, zerodeefex. I appreciate it.

I recently had simmilar problem w my pulse infinity. Firmware was a little weird to install but worked perfect. I can email you the firmware file I received but I am not sure it's compatible with your unit.

*knock on wood* All my units (450, 1000, 2A Infinity) get heavy use and have no issues.

Damn....just got my custom balanced cable for the GO v2+ Infinity. Finally running balanced on my studio monitors. Sounds fantastic. Lot airier and less aggressive than SE.

I ordered one that was "for sale" but I am having my doubts of it being "actually for sale".

I haven't been able to get them on the phone (I have the option of leaving a message for Operator) and no response from a message I sent on the "Contact Us" page a couple of days ago, so far.

Did you get a chance to check on my order @zerodeefex ?

So tempting to try but scared to damage earphone. What happens if earphone (Ety HF3) that has mic control option (4 pin trrs jack) plug into BAL output of GO2A? I guess that it will not give true balanced output and might damage earphone, will it?

If it's 4-pin because of mic control it's not balanced. Don't plug that into the balanced jack of the GO.

Does the GO2A Infinity work has a portable DAC without the use of the USB hub trick? Or does it draw too much power?

What are the specifications of the GO2Pro Infinity? Specifically concerned with output impedance from both the SE and Balanced headphone jacks.

Is it the same as the GO2A?

GO2A draws too much power for a phone. OI should be 0.47 for the GO2Pro Inf.
