Finally found some tips to keep the X secure. Went with large UE wide bore single flange tips for very shallow fit but it locks in really well.

It just occurred to me the X sort of reminds me of the NAD HP50. I don't have that headphone anymore but it makes me think of if. I remember the HP50 having more deep bass rumble and more intimate middle mids, versus the slight upper mid bump of the X.

    Two questions:

    1) Will it be possible to commission someone to build a different cable with volume and play / pause buttons for phones?

    2) Which of the Comply foam tip series would best fit?

There should be cables out there that have that functionality and perhaps work already. Not sure about the comply tips, I'm more of a silicone guy.

If they are like the other Noble universal shells, T500 fit best but you can squeeze 400 on there as well.

I haven't heard the IE80 but have the IE8 and IE800. Both are much, much bassier.

The IE80 is even bassier than the IE8, imo, from memory.

The IE8 and IE80 suck. Don't talk about these in the same thread. You're dirtying the Noble X name.

Thanks for that. It makes me feel good because I joined the drop. Kind of newbie to IEM.

I'm pretending to be more of a jerk than I really am. They're fine just older and have been surpassed in recent years for the price :). The Noble is a really solid IEM for the price.

Have you heard them too, @zerodeefex ? If so, any tasting notes? The graphs look OK, assuming that little upper mid suckout doesn't sit right on favourite vocals.

My massdrop experience was the worst for last hd6xx, but way better this time. The only problem is.. that march shipment.. It will be a long wait.

I've used my er4s for almost ten(!) years. Really a long love-hate relationship. Hope the new noble x to best them!

Hi. I just wonder if you guys can compare these IEMs to DUNU DN-2000J or Forrest FLC8S. Thank you. I am very new to the IEMs and so far have only the tunable Torque Audio t096z. But tomorrow most likely will see sale on DUNU and FLC8S and wonder how will they compete with Noble X in the same price bracket. Thanks.

Hi, i was wondering if these would be comparable to the ATH-IM02's, if anyone has tried them out. I've been looking at the measurements, while joining and dropping the Massdrop offer, trying to decide if it's worth the jump or not. I like Noble, and the price is tempting... but i could use the money to do other things...

Has anyone tried both to see how these contrast to each other? Thanks in advance for any kind of help :p!
