    @Bill-P You're a genius! :bow:
    I put some foam included with some ChiCrap K7xx replacement pads (similar to the front HD650 foam) into the largest port and the upper-mids/highs sound nicely balanced now. Side benefit is that it'll block ear gunk from going into at least one of the 3 ports.

    One question I have is that I would assume each port corresponds to the drivers for lows/mids/highs, and I would have guessed that the largest port would be for the lows. Assuming that's correct, why would front damping that port tame the highs?

    I would think it's an attenuator consisting of a voltage divider, perhaps something like this?

    Someone could/should donate theirs to science and dissect one.

    Negligible hiss from Dragonfly Red. On the phatter end of the Andromeda spectrum though...

    From what I'm hearing, I'd guess that the big port is for bass all the way to upper mid, and then the remaining two ports seem responsible for upper mid to treble, then treble to upper treble. (just guessing, though, so please take that with a grain of salt)

    Blocking one of the ports that's meant for treble kinda has an effect on bass since the perceived treble level won't be so blaring anymore, but the peak, IMO, happens at upper mid frequencies, so blocking the big port still has the most effect.

    And tips have a massive effect on low bass. Foam tips are still a bit too blurry/diffused/soft with bass to me, while silicone tips are too shouty/bright. I actually discovered foam as the material to use while trying to "fix" the sound of silicone tips. Right now, my Andro has silicone tips with thin sleeve/nozzle cover to reduce bass bloat, and a more advanced scheme of the foam block with more types of foam combined.

    Also the aforementioned Shure cover/filter is indeed too small for Andro's nozzle, but it works well as a replacement of foam for the big port. You just have to cut it to be a little smaller than its regular size.

    Yeah... I'm pretty sensitive to hiss also because I listen at quite high a volume (around 80dB-ish), so anything that's in there is clearly audible to me.

    This detailed impression on various sources was very helpful. Thank you.... I fully agree that iPhone matches with Andro very well (iPhone SE from my end) and i am fully satisfied with it for portable rig.

    Do you like DFR more than Mojo to pair with Andro? If I remember correctly, you have tried both with Andro, haven't you? :)
