Mutec 1.2 Loaner IC

hey guys, yeah I'd be totally down, especially if I got to hang with Adam and listen to some shot. Icing on the cake. My only limitation is I'm out of town until July 31, so I'm not sure if timing will work for errbody. If that works, then yeah I'll listen to it in August for a bit w/ @drfindley

Just dropped off the mutec loaner at the post office the unit is on its way to @AustinValentine

I ordered a pinkfaun i2s bridge and I also have a custom i2s input module from metrum.

So thanks to this loaner I discovered killing jitter is real important. I hope the i2s bridge will exceed the mutec 3 s/pdif convertor, by not even converting in the first place .

 

Mutec 1.2 arrived unmolested from Jun. Came with the BNC cable, Power Cable, and a bunch of packing peanuts.



This still needs to be back to @Wfojas by the 31st right? (Really, by Saturday, because the 31st is a Sunday). I'll probably need to get this going back on Thursday morning for it to arrive on Saturday.

I put in the order for Modi Multibit early this morning and paid for Priority Mail shipping, so there should be one day or so of overlap for listening. I'll try to get some impressions of any differences I hear.

@sphinxvc I sent you a convo earlier, because I was wondering if I needed to fund the loaner. I didn't get a reply, so I ended up giving extra insurance money to USPS.

I just sent $10 into the insurance fund right now.

 

Hey guys, FYI, I've got an Intona coming in case we want to A/B the Mutec and the Intona while you have the loaner.

 

I'm sending up a Wyred4Sound Recovery to @brencho too. Tell me when, so you guys can hear all three together. Would love to borrow the Intona also, to compare, if you are willing.
